Words and photos by Tom Sheehan, many photos I think will have not been seen before by the majority of users here (fom 1984). They're also asking for people's memories of The Smiths on tour, saying they will publish the best. I'll bung some scans up later.

Scans here. As you can see, they are looking for your Smiths Tour memories - e-mail your tales to [email protected], and they'll publish the best.

Cheers,

Peter

Re: Nice Smiths article in the new UNCUT magazine

Thanks for the great scans, Peter. What's Morrissey holding in that bottom-left photo--a book or a juice box?

It's a carton of orange juice (Just Juice)

Edit: Ooops, Kewpie beat me to it by 2 minutes:tears:

Thank you very much for the scans Uncle Skinny! :)
I'll probably buy myself a copy of the mag as soon as possible.

Re: Nice Smiths article in the new UNCUT magazine

Peter- so very nice of you! Thanks :D (reminds me of my collection of The Face & Blitz mags from that era.)

Re: Nice Smiths article in the new UNCUT magazine

Another reason to be thankful this holiday season...Uncle Skinny's scans. Thanks you!

Hmmm

Very trivial, but Peter's user name is Uncleskinny, not Uncle Skinny.

*runs away* :p

Anybody else got yelled at for drinking from the carton when they were kids?
Thought so.

"Because of my poor educatiooooooon
noone ever told me not to drink from the caaaaaartooooooooooon...
Andy was thirsty, screaming for attention
I told him to f.off, and finished the carton."

I was at the QMU in Glasgow that year.
It was my first of very very many Smiths and Morrissey gigs over the years.
The smell of Gladiolli when i walked into the arena will live with me forever.
I also managed to get onstage at that gig (wonder if that was a first)

Lucky you!

Were you at July 1986 Glasgow Barrowlands gig?

You should write to Allan Jones who would like to have your memoir. :)
