Wow - one of the best ever Morrissey setlists. I count no fewer than 14 genuinely brilliant songs.
For the LIHS tour we were lucky to get 3 or 4.
Yes, the middle bit is the weakest section but we can't moan too much although his fascination with Morrissey Song Disaster 1958 is a little hard to understand. It was just a bog standard Morrissey Whyte song at a time when there were some really great b-sides.
Love the Smithsian jangle of Girl Afraid. Such a contrast to the mess Alain used to make of playing Smiths songs live (nice bloke though he undoubtedly was/is).

I make it 30 good songs, 4 OK and 1 not good.

What an awesome set list! I wish Morrissey would realise that this is the type of set list we need more of. For me only First Of The Gang I could do without and that is merely because its been done to death already.

My daughters is mega excited about tomorrow night, she was gutted when Castlefield was cancelled and whilst i have fallen out out of love with him over his recent comments my wife hasn’t seen him for a long time so I’m hoping the two of them have a great time tomorrow night!

Yep 35 different songs I triple checked. ..... suedehead /Alma matters/ I wish you lonely/ hairdresser on fire /Paris /chain gang/ world peace/ Wedding Bell Blues/ if you don't like me/ Munich /that joke isn't funny anymore/ bullfighter/ life is a pigsty /Jack the Ripper/ hold on to your friends /everyday is like Sunday /spent the day in bed/ you have killed me /what she said /first of the gang to die/ is it really so strange /How Soon Is Now /morning Starship/ trouble loves me /Scandinavia /seasick /break up the family/ dial a cliche /Speedway /girl afraid/ something is squeezing my skull/ let me kiss you/ ignore me/ sunny/ and fatty.......and if we count the accapella part of THERE IS A LIGHT that's 36.......with( according to concert tshirt )we still have Irish blood, panic, ouija board, kiss me alot on the way
A quick note after listening to some videos, song 37 is a instrumental of the intro to The Girl from Tel Aviv, which is the long piano intro into Everyday is like Sunday.....so far 37 different songs

You've fallen out of love with Morrissey over his recent comments?

Does a few comments really merit such an extreme response? Do the opinions of every artist you like have to correspond with your own for you to like them?

How odd.

I can’t respect any artist that refers to Hitler as ‘Left-wing’ and calls the Chinese a ‘subspecies’

John McDonnell well on the way

Do you mean ‘in your lap’???

Actually, it is a clearly understandable and rational response. The Smiths and Morrissey (in his prime) were totally and utterly against right-wing politics. Morrissey was mates with Billy Bragg - Bragg sung several of Morrissey's lyrics (e.g. Ask and Never had No-one). The attitude of the rich/royalty was lampooned- "the poor and the needy are selfish and greedy£. Margaret was on the guillotine. The Smiths joined Red Wedge. Morrissey hated the royals, and even in the 90s chided people for lying about not voting Conservative.
It is totally and utterly unbelievable that Morrissey would now officially endorse an extreme right-wing political party, For Britain, and express sympathy for Johnny Robinson, the poster boy for racist w***ers everywhere. This totally clashes with the worldview that the Smiths cultivated and that most of their fans agreed with. This is why the fan-base hemorrhaged when a UK tour was announced last summer. Many of us simply could not believe what we were hearing. The non-European (or at least non-British) fans would not have heard the horrible things Morrissey said recently quite so clearly, hence it's business as usual on the non-European concert circuit. Unlike in the UK, he's still best known elsewhere as being the eccentric vegetarian former singer of the Smiths. It will be fascinating to see what happens when he dares to advertise a UK tour. Of course, he hasn't lost all his UK fans but his days of top 10 albums and arena tours may well all be over, unless his ugly, right-wing sympathising comments are retracted.

It most definitely does not. Pretty much every review I've read from any of the shows complains about the dragging mid-part of the show. It is not really appreciated by casual or hardcore fans alike.

It killed the Toronto show for me. I was so stoked to see him live and he sounded great and seemed to be enjoying himself but I left the show feeling letdown by the setlist. That middle is utter rubbish and he pretty much plays it night in and night out, sub a song in there. I feel it's his political statements

I left China a year ago this month after living there for almost two years. I can confirm mainland Chinese are subspecies, the most rude, self centered, ignorant, animal abusing aholes on the planet. Hands down. Moz is bang on there. What Moz won't answer is why he then played in Hong Kong which is back under China rule just over a year a go.

This was posted on the Morrissey subreddit:

Apparently this is the woman's second Moz skin autograph, soon to be second autograph tattoo, I assume. Interesting how he takes care to measure out the space on her back prior to signing.

Also, take note of Damon discretely exiting the back seat of the car.

And finally, "Mr. Morrissey"? WTF?

I guess he didn’t want that gift.

We are still needing video on some songs that were played in the first 6 shows for 2019,
I haven't found any YT video of these songs
1-Break Up The Family(toronto#2,NY#2)
2-Dial-a-cliche(Toronto #2,NY#3)
3 Squeezing my skull(Montreal, NY#3)
4 ignore me(NY#3)
5 Sunny (NY#3)
6 Fatty (NY#3)
Not talking about Instagram because they only give seconds of video
If any one went to these shows and maybe caught this songs on video. Please could you share them. Please, please please
All other songs have at least some good film to them
A special shout out to Concert Fan(toronto#1), and of Doc(NY#1) for there complete shows ....a true blessing and gem to have those to watch.

Morrissey was left-leaning back in the 80s when the left represented the working class. Now the left no longer support this social class, and the majority of Labour politicians in the UK are no longer socialists in even the most basic sense. Nobody on the right supports the working class either so they have no representation.

Morrissey understands this and has never forgotten his roots, so it's not surprising he threw his weight behind an outsider party like For Britain who say they represent the 'ordinary working person' of Britain. They are also the only party in the UK to mention animal rights.

I fail to see how For Britain can be a far right party when its leader is an Irish lesbian and ex-Labour party member. Perhaps you've been listening to too much tabloid derogatory hype which is generally what all political parties receive who dare to operate outside of the UK's two-party system.

Morrissey himself said hearlier didn't want to do Red Wedge or see the point, everyone changes as they grow older
