Help. I'm at work. Very bored. Wondered if I could start the ball rolling with suggestions for New year's Smiths/moz tunes. Asleep would be an obvious choice, what with the Auld Lang Syne at the end, although perhaps not the most uplifting start to the new year.Any other ideas?

I think the best tune to see in the New Year will be "The Queen Is Dead"

It's a bit of a rabble rouser at the best of times and ideal for keeping the neighbors awake

I like the line where it goes:

'There's a publisher she said in the new year, it's never in this year'

so it's quite apt as it COULD be next year!!!

Good one ! I LOVE that soas well.It still amazes me that two of my favourite Morrissey tracks were co-written with Andy Rourke.
The above and the amazing "Yes,I am Blind".

    Best wishes for 2004
