erroneously.

yeah i think the info i read was wrong, it was a leak but a really one really it can't be compared with Morrissey leaked 1 1/2 mont before.

This was 9 days before.

I found the correct info:

U2's much-anticipated new album, No Line on the Horizon, has leaked on the Internet.

The online "oops" happened after an Australian website, Get Music, accidentally started selling the songs Tuesday night, according to a Canwest News Service source.

They've since been taken down from getmusic.com.au.

The group's first disc in five years isn't supposed to be released until Feb. 27 in Ireland, March 2 in the U.K. and in Europe, and March 3 in Canada, the U.S. and Australia.

This is the first full leak of No Line on the Horizon. Wal-Mart's website briefly posted snippets of the album's 12 songs earlier this month.

Last summer, singer Bono inadvertently leaked some tracks, including "Get On Your Boots," while blasting them at his villa in southern France.

A nearby fan recorded the songs and posted them on YouTube.

Early reviews of the group's 12th effort are overwhelmingly positive.

"The boys from da north side get back to basics with their strongest offering in years," gushes Danielle Cahill of the Belfast Telegraph.

"No Line on the Horizon is an awkward album, difficult in places, but that in itself is admirable," writes Barry Egan of the Irish Independent.

"In an age of short attention spans, U2 have put together an old-fashioned album, not just a bunch of singles," writes Cameron Adams of The Australian.

"This album is likely to lose the casual U2 fan, but will reconnect with the faithful."

The Irish rockers will begin a five-night residency on Late Night with David Letterman on Monday, March 2.

The punishment for retailers, vendors, allowing the sale before the set release date is withholding future releases from that label until after the release date. This would cause the retailer to take a hit in potential sales. Wonder if there will be any action taken?
