Result is a 114MB file of the whole show. 44khz stereo MPEG AAC Audio (MP4a). I don't know if it's an upgrade on what's here but if anyone's interested I'll upload it.

There are other versions available, but I think this one is probably the best that iPlayer is serving up.

Like it is going to make any real difference? They would have sounded exactly the same - muffled and plodding.
They are online anyway....

Your point is what? Oh, that's right...you have none.

There is a reason this forum is divided into different topics...if the mods don't care about keeping threads under the proper section, then what exactly is the point of having other sections? 'Downloads' is for downloads...not General Discussion.

DavidA but where is the file?

Can you please download this for me?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p00hl512

Nevermind i did it and i'm not in the UK.

How did you do it? I could only download the whole show with get_iplayer, but it's a 42 MB mono file. And I couldn't even find the nine minute version. Would you mind uploading?

I wonder why nobody seems to have recorded this over digital satellite, which should provide the best quality. Sadly, I can't receive BBC Radio here in Germany ... :-(

Thank you for the sendspace contribution, Skylark. I thought I was doomed to listen to low volume, noisy YouTube conversions until Morrissey brings out his new album.

which version do you prefer the original flv file or the aac version?
(the iplayer info says the file has these properties 128k aac) that's why i converted to aac.

The nine minute version is here online too dude:

Of course you can't play it cause you're in Germany.

I can play it, because I know how to fake my IP ... but it doesn't show up in get_iplayer at all! And the full show only downloaded in low quality.

If you could upload the original FLV files, that woul be nice ... :)
