New Morrissey song played on BBC radio (with disclaimer) + Morrissey ridiculed on BBC R4 show

Long-term Morrissey/Smiths fan indie DJ (and TV bloke from the 80s), Gary Crowley, played River Clean on his BBC Radio London show a couple of nights ago. Said "I love this track" and was alerted to it by a couple of people (implying he hadn't bothered with the album). At the end he said (paraphrase) "that's a great track... if you can ignore all the other stuff about him".
Radio 4 comedy show tonight 6:30pm - comedian talked about how we breathe in billions of atoms in our lives. Probably the same ones that made up Oscar Wilde and Adolf Hitler - "that would explain Morrissey" (cue the biggest laugh of the evening).
That's where we are folks in 2020. Morrissey has become a cultural byword for the far right and racism. And when presenters do dare to play his latest songs, they apparently need to issue a disclaimer. Bit odd to think that some people claim he's turned a corner...

They don't wanna support Morrissey and his England first views yet...

.. England is so cucked

Saturday. Unless they can find a reason to postpone.

I think Kier's got it.
Keir Starmer the millionaire liberal lawyer.

It's strange how the Labour Party has turned into a mutant bastardization that now despises the very people it was formed to represent.

Starmer is the son of a nurse and a toolmaker. He is the very embodiment of someone who has used his talents and abilities to become extremely successful in his career and in public life. I have no idea whether or not he's a millionaire but to imply that he's somehow tainted because of that is nonsensical, even by your ridiculously low standards.

He worked his way up from a humble background just like Thatcher and Tebbit then. That is Conservatives believe in. You improve your own position by your own efforts, nobody elses. You get on your bike and get a job and if you can't find one you're a lazy bastard. If you fail it's your own fault, if you win it's all to do with the amount of effort you put in.

This is the epitome of the classic Tory ideology. It's exactly what Tony Blair believed in also - turning everyone middle class, and all those left behind simply didn't try hard enough. This makes Keir Starmer a cut and dried Thatcherite/ Blairite Tory, not a left winger.

He also supported the ultra-capitalist power-hungry EU. No real left winger supports the EU as these centralised power blocs take power further away from the people.

He is a millionaire Londoner QC and knight beloved of the moneyed London luvvies who supported Blair and New Labour back in the day. These people despise the white working class who they condescendingly look down upon as flag-waving racists. They prefer migrants who they can play 'white savior' to and employ cheaply as nannys and cleaners.

Keir Starmer is just another Tony Blair - A Tory capitalist who is left-wing in name only. If he gets in as leader there will be no opposition. It will be Tory v Tory. Just the way the establishment like it - because as Noam Chomsky said: 'Power is always Conservative'.

What utter bollocks. I mean, I can only conclude that you wrote this comment using some sort of Daily Mail Fridge Magnet Pack.

I wouldn't read the Daily Mail if you strapped me down, cut off my eyelids and forced it in front of my face. So I don't really know what you mean.

If you like Starmer it sounds more like your kind of thing.

That's strange because you write like you read nothing else.

You obviously haven't understood a word I've said then. I believe the Labour Party should be left-wing. People like Starmer are from the Tony Blair school of Toryism - which I particularly despise.

The candidates at Thursday's JLM hustings with host Robert Peston

Starmer is an anti-brexiter who would probably call Morrissey a racist for having nationalistic viewpoints yet supports Zionism..
"Labour leadership hopeful Sir Keir Starmer has told a packed Jewish Labour Movement hustings that he would not "describe myself as a Zionist" but insisted: "I understand and I sympathise and I support Zionism."

OK fair enough. So you want the Labour Party to carry on failing, like it did under Corbyn? Are you sure you aren't a Daily Mail reader?

Labour is currently a mish mash of Blairites, wokesters, race baiters, Islamists, champagne socialists, the odd genuine left winger, and complete and utter basket cases.

Jeremy Corbyn has his faults here and there (anti-semitism isn't one of them), but ultimately he is one of the sanest of the lot -most likely due to the fact he's old school. But it's impossible to run a party that is such a crazy, disunited mixed up soup - which is why Labour is such a laughing stock right now. They agree on nothing.

It needs at least to split into two groups. Maybe Blue Labour should split as they're anti all the woke or crazy stuff from the likes of Angela Rayner, Jess Phillips, Dawn Butler etc.

The Tories seem like one tight unit in comparison. They're capitalists and not frightened to admit it. Labour do too much beating around the bush. Nobody will ever vote for them again in any serious number in their current guise - so advice like mine is sensible - if only they would listen to ordinary people like me, which as a rule they don't.

I was right - you want Labour to fail.

I honesly don't. I'm a spectator watching them fail. There needs to be an opposition in parliament - not two groups led by similar leaders, both of whom are ultra-capitalists who want to privatise everything and reduce the welfare state.

There is no political difference between Keir Starmer and Boris Johnson - in fact in power he'd probably be more of a hardliner than Boris (who seems cuddly in comparison). Keir would sell off what's left of Britain to the highest foreign buyer and up the migrant cheap labour flow. He's Tony Blair in a new guise. In other words a true enemy of the British people.

I voted in the leadership election, I’m sceptical about Kier Starmer. Not because I want Labour to fail, but because I want to see a point in them succeeding.

Keir's not a disaster capitalist. So, that's one improvement on The Tory Party (or might be depending on where this pandemic takes us).

No, but he might be a disaster pragmatist aiming for a wide appeal that really just placates rather than achieves anything. And that might just mean he’s the worst of all worlds.

My partner is a Labour Party member; she voted for Starmer and is eager to have a Labour government at any price. I’m not sure I am. As you know, I voted Nandy and she was a compromise candidate for me.
