Their best album since Violator, hands down.
Really enjoying listening to this, in fact it has a very Violator vibe to it.
Their masterpiece in my opinion is Black Celebration, but this is very very good (and totally unexpected after all these years).

It's probably easier to judge the album if you're not a hardcore fan ( I'm not ) . Just being a person who knows and enjoys their music and appreciates that they are one of the most important bands in the history of music . So yes, it's their best album since Ultra, but it wasn't hard at all. The bar was not set too high. My favorite track is Speak to Me. Absolutely brilliant .Before we Drown
also holds a very high level . I would also add Soul with me , Martin at his best . Ok , it is not Home but ... really beautifully sung . Yes, it's a very good and gloomy ( mostly ) album. It's not a masterpiece, but does anyone still expect masterpieces in music.. definitely worth listening to, and not just once.

IMO, Black Celebration starts a 3 album run of brilliance that ends with Violator. If Memento Mori ends up being the last DM album... what a way to go out!
