To be honest I've never heard Depeche Mode's version. But I don't care I love this song soooo much I'm voting for it anyway! Billy Corgan really is a modern day Mozart, he's a musical genius. And yes I think it would make a good stoner song. One could even make a stoner mixed CD and nestle it in between Soundgarden's "Black Hole Sun" and Neil Young's "Trans Am." And then blaze away.
