Mporium - Official Morrissey Merchandise stores (UK and US) launch - true-to-you.net

Re: TTY: Mporium

Completely agree. I just feel like I wouldn't be able to wear any of these discreetly or even comfortably. Those enormous screen prints never seem to lay comfortably on the body, nor survive more than a few washes without cracking.

There's something particularly Hip Hop Lesbian about them.

the mope one was good for color choice and the godfather/hitchcock kinda styled one was just great. the big graphics are very in right now and when done well and on the right body shape they look fantastic. the one using negative space is nicely done, a lot of my own illustrations use this a lot, but i think it works better as a poster flier than a shirt because you end up looking around for the image which is neat but not always the best visual presentation i would want to make. maybe a color change would help like perhaps it being in white making the contrast a little less and bringing the shape of the whole image easier to recognize at a glance. still good stuff though so keep at it please

Re: TTY: Mporium

Can't wait to see the prosecutor holding up the "I'll Kill You" shirt in the David Tseng case

There was a funny tweet about that today I can't quote bc I'm on a phone.

Maybe at Comicon.:squiffy: I'm pushing 40. If I'm going to wear a band shirt I want that shit to be subtle, preferably in muted, tertiary colors. The Nicos and Francois Hardy's who have money to throw in his direction wouldn't be caught dead in one of these huge graphic tees. Maybe the kill one, those are well done and the tee colors are lovely.

I like this one...

I like it, too, but I'm surprised you don't consider it something a "sycophant" would wear.

I see so much that I want, but I'd love for him to add this one:

Oh a sycophant would love it! I was kind of joking when I said I liked it. Though Halloween is just around the corner. Time to dress up as something 'other.' I could go as a Christian. Or a sycophant (cult member).

Well, it would be cheap and not difficult to throw something together. You could find a full, knee length skirt to wear with some odd looking sweater and hold a bible. Or dress as a nun, of course. If someone approached you and said, "Oh, I love your necklace!" You could then, while they're looking closer and realizing it has nothing to do with Jesus Christ, mutter, "Happy Halloween!" :)

Re: TTY: Mporium

This will be the first SALE item. Nobody voluntarily buys royal blue. I'm just trying to help. (Other than Morrissey in that jersey, lol. ^^) Look, I worked in retail for over 20 years. I'm just trying to add some variety for the subtle seekers whose money spends as good as that kids.

So true. No one buys royal blue. I'm a winter and can't wear it despite liking the design

Re: TTY: Mporium

What's the difference? ;)

Not much. ;)

I think I would make a fine altar boy... a gender/ideology/age-bending thing. Might as well go all out, right!

Hey I have an idea! Let's all talk about Jehne instead of making money at the merch table!
