Moz loves Young The Giant - TrueToYou update

YOUNG THE GIANT - true-to-you.net

Having suffered with relish so much yes-but-no new music, I could break down with happiness at the new - debut - CD by Young The Giant. I will be kneeling with gratitude on a hardwood floor for many years to come. It is the whole thing ... it is the perfect tone ... and Sameer's voice is unbreakable.
If there is any justice in the world (and we all know there isn't) Young The Giant will own most of it by August. It's so easy to fire out remnants of snobbery where new music is concerned (in fact, I find it VERY easy), but once every three thousand years, a band comes along who restore that precious component of faith. Had I the gift of adequate words I would express more than mere thanks.
Instead, I shall leave it at that.

BLAHBLAHBLAH MORRISSEY IS GOOD BUT KINDA EVIL I THINK HE HAS BAD TASTE

RACISM HOMOPHOBIA RACISM

MASTER OF LYRICS BUT LIKES SHIT MUSIC.

Can I have my intelligent Morrissey fan badge now please?

I think you get that free when you buy his next repackaged album. By wearing it in public, you can show everybody that Morrissey says you're intelligent while simultaneously advertising your self-evident stupidity.

they were only 19 when they recorded that album, give em a break!!! From their live show, though, you can see their potential. Go see them; you won't regret it!

'My Body' is undoubtedly the stand-out track on the album. Nice to hear Moz praise something modern in this weary world.

Morrissey has turned me on to some really great bands in the past - one of my favorites being Echobelly. I will definitely check this band out! Morrissey rarely praises a band these days to such extremes, so I know they must be pretty awesome.

Yes, Echobelly rocks! Morrissey was right when he said that Echobelly are good! :)

Given how bad Morrissey's taste in music tends to be

He had some pretty bad taste in selecting over half of the songs which graced the Years of Refusal album, too. I guess all those years of hearing Jesse Tobias songs can do that to someone.

celibate, sounds like my kind of job.morning read a newspaper, afternoon read a music mag, night time read a porn mag, assuming ur male,if not pick something more appropriate.

All he cares about is how good looking the band is. The singers voice sounds like Jack Johnson. Maybe he should google him.

i guess we know who will open for Morrissey on his next leg of the tour.

I used to feel the same way about new music, but indie bands lately have restored my faith that there is a wealth of good music out there if one takes the time to sift through all the crap. Bands like Beach House, Avi Buffalo, The Xx, Wye Oak, Sharon Van Etten, Fanfarlo, etc etc.

Yeah, I dunno... They are probably okay live because I liked the way they sounded on Jools Holland a month or two ago, better than the few studio recordings I have heard.

Seriously. Sharron Needles is LENGTHS ahead of us all. An authority. I'm being serious. I adore him. I wish he'd talk more instead of the dipshits continually sounding off about nothing. Sharron, can you post what you are listening to lately? If he does this, you'll see what I mean. Every track will brilliant.

I really wish the thread would have read, "Moz loves Sad Lovers & Giants"
