Plan 9 From Outer Space, Ed Wood (1959)

The new Managing Editor of Rolling Stone is a Morrissey fanatic, an obsessive, a chosen one. Not only does he state that Morrissey is "part of his Holy Trinity" (please see the article on the main page of this site), he also references the film "Withnail & I." For those who don't already know, Morrissey loves this film so much that he appropriated its title for VAUXHALL & I. I spoke to Mr. Needham's secretary today (he was in a meeting), but she actually made a good faith effort to get him for me when I mentioned that I was a Morrissey fan. When I mentioned Morrissey, she said, "oh yes, Ed LOVES him." We went on to discuss Morrissey for some time. She was aware of all the pertinent facts, Sanctuary Records, the new album, the Joyce verdict, and more, because Mr. Needham has discussed these things with her. He worships at The Church of Moz. As a consequence, I believe we should try to get Mr. Needham to put Moz on the cover, or alternatively get him a nice juicy article just before the new album comes out.

Mr. Needham is not some old curmudgeonly fellow. He was the former editor of FHM, and is a young, hip, cool, dude (if I might use that word just once).

His contact info:

I sent him an email this morning and just got a really sweet reply back. He seems like a nice man. Perhaps someone above is watching out for Moz.

you got an access to some sort of a 'companies database'?

No, I called 411 and asked for Rolling Stone in New York City, and his secretary gave me all his contact info and encouraged me to email him.
