Morrissey still in hospital according to Cliff Richard

He needs to be flown back to the UK for a proper burial! Or is he going to be buried in the US too?

I know you are only trolling, but when the day does eventually come (and I pray it won't be for a few decades yet), you can bet your bottom dollar Big M's final resting place will be at Hollywood Forever, NOT mouldy old Manchester.

There are other sources stating he's in hospital. Wonder where.

I went to the Cliff Richard concer and it is true that he said something about Morrissey being in the hospital, but as I recall it wasn't quite clear to me if he meant Morrissey was still in the hospital now, or rather simply that the Morrissey concert had been cancelled because Morrissey went to the hospital. In any event, it was a great concert and Sir Cliff mentioned several times that he was really looking forward to the Morrissey concert, that he wished him a speedy recovery, and that he hoped they might one day play together in the future.

I've heard he wants to be buried near the statue of Johnny Ramone in Hollywood Forever. Not trolling - just repeating what I've heard.

Let's hope that's not for a long time!

Looks like a 14 year old has joined the forum. Must be a sad bastard to post on here when you could be wanking over porn. Get a life you c***.

Cliff is on good morning Britain right now, talking about the gig and cancellation.

Didn't say anything we didn't already know but no mention of him still being hospitalised.

i heard him say it too, that was years ago might have thought of someone else.

Re: Cliff Richard Claims Morrissey is Still in the Hospital

“It’s a long time since we”ve shared such an intimate space ”

Hmmm.

Interviewer Phil Silvers

Now that's what I call a comeback.

Speaking of ballads, a note perfect take on “Miss You Nights” a good song I was not particularly fond of , into a valued fave

That's a really, really great record.

I can't say I'm a fan, but Cliff is a trouper, without doubt. I'm pleased it went so well, for him and his adherents.

I would love to know exactly when the Moz drinking 3/4 of a pint of vodka story dates from, and if he has cleaned himself up since then. Fact is, no one drinks that amount of vodka casually without first building up a tolerance by regular, heavy drinking. It's not a good sign, and nothing to be proud of.

I've seen him a couple of times and he's seemed rat-arsed to begin with, and some people have mentioned him seeming a little tired and emotional at the beginning of both Live in Dallas and Wolverhampton. He certainly rapidly improves after the first few songs. Perhaps he was sobering up. I've seen him solo and with the Smiths when he's appeared fine, I should add.

All I know is if he needs a new liver many here will be getting out the box cutters and Dettol.

You're using shows from 1988 and 1991 as evidence of a drinking problem?

But it could be liver issues although he has never seemed jaundiced. He was drunk and slurring his words here, and kept calling himself fat when that fan photo when he had on a plaid shirt was taken.

I sure hope he’s ok too. I had a bleeding ulcer a few years back and almost died as well. But I was only in the hospital for one day (perhaps because I didn’t refuse a blood transfusion?)

I really hope we get a statement soon as there are some really awful rumours flying around.

Yes, because the post I replied to mentioned a long term issue: "Fact is, no one drinks that amount of vodka casually without first building up a tolerance by regular, heavy drinking."

Got that, or shall I type it again but more slowly?

So anyone we saw taking a drink in 1991 is inevitably a raging alcoholic today.

I'm not saying he doesn't like to drink, but if he was an alcoholic he would have had at least one recent performance where he seemed drunk. He hasn't.

I imagine he's hospitalised for a different reason. Or in a different sort of hospital.
