Morrissey statement on French election posted on Gustavo's Facebook

Link to Gustavo's Facebook post on May 4 posted by an anonymous person (original post):

"Last night Marine Le Pen easily won the French Election debate.

Today both the BBC and CNN say Macron won the debate.

This is precisely the reason why mainstream news media outlets cannot be trusted to tell the truth. Their private agendas are more important than facts, reality, or their duty to the people."

UPDATE 5:15PM PT:

Amendment added to original post (posted by Ed Wood):

AMENDMENT:

"My statement is that the mainstream media will not objectively or truthfully report on any figure who is not already a part of the political elite. Marine Le Pen is a perfect example of this.
She proves that the BBC or CNN are incapable of reporting without enforcing their own private agenda. Thus, the BBC and CNN do not actually provide news. Instead, they feed your their opinion which, in fact, no one has ever asked for. For example, today the BBC assures the world that 'the nation salutes Prince Phillip' when, factually, it would not be possible to find any nation anywhere that salutes Prince Phillip, or, if it were found, it certainly would not be England."

Thank you, Nathalie. This is interesting and informative. It is strange to hear friends agreeing with a politician whose policies seem hateful. I respect your decision not to break relationships if it is possible. Sometimes we learn of our friend's opinions and it will destroy that desire, but it's usually best to keep talking and working for a solution with mutual respect.
Yes that's very strange. I know many relations who discover that phenomenon in their circle. Before MLP, everybody was silent about their membership in FN. That's better to know that.
But it is as in a couple in whom the woman votes for an extreme party and the man for the right centrist. They are not going to divorce therefore.
But I did not say either that I looked down. Once it happened that I leave the home and not want to see the couple of friends again afterwards. She had gone too much far for me. Yes it can reproduced when there is no more debate. And I will never need MLP to defend me anyway. I could give two explicite serious examples that I lived in the metro and in a shoes shop, five years ago. My friends always say to me "be careful on you, you're crazy !" Either you look people in the face, or you look down. According to me, there is a choice to do.

Yes. Look away. Ignore it.
But that doesn't help any of us either.
Us, meaning all people.

Discussion can be heated and painful but rather that then no discussion at all and before we realize what happened using force and violence as a mean to strengthen the arguments.

I'd rather wish the motto of the state would be like that of the ex president of the US, Truman, who said: "Speak softly, but carry a big stick". :)

Of course, that could only be done if you believe there is something to defend, to believe in and I don't mean in a religious way.
I'd say, we should count our blessings and not trade them for anything irrational. But it should be discussed, no matter what else is there to be discussed too.
Cheers :thumb:

Your friends probably think you've lost the plot altogether.

I'm talking about equal rights (law), not proposing everybody must have the same bank account. It's something basic in modern democracies: human rights. I don't see life as a ladder, sorry, my idea of life is a path with ups and downs. And I fail to see people as inferior or superior. There are several kinds of intelligence, you can't measure everybody with the same rule. By the way, I'm not socialist.

I think the person that created that sign is not real high on the ladder. Was they drunk?

If this is real he can go f*** himself. Full-on racist buffoonery. He and Farage are, to coin a phrase, hand in glove. Booze and racism. A disgrace.

What has Farage ever said or done that is "racist"?

You throw a couple links at me that don't actually have any quotes from Farage that are racist. If he was a racist I'd have thought I'd see solid evidence, direct quotes, etc. One link is a bunch of leftist wackos claiming Farage was racist as a schoolboy some decades ago, which I wouldn't trust for a second. The other link reads like a defamation hit job with unreliable claims Farage dismisses as "absurd". He's such a hard core racist, that's the best you have? You actually are proving that he is NOT a racist, but just being smeared.

f*** off you racist enabling turd. *blocking* Spin that how you like, I don't give a f***. Rant as much as you like. I won't see it.

Wow, I thought if Farage is such a racist you'd show me some video or some actual reliable sources proving it. Instead you gave me garbage and then started hurling swear words at me saying I'm blocked. LOL I've watched many YouTubes of Nigel. I follow him on Twitter. I've watched his speeches. I've watched many of his radio broadcasts. Not once have I seen any evidence of racism. But you're gonna give me some garbage smear links and act like you've proven your case. LOL It doesn't hold up in court! And what did I do to get blocked? LOL What a joke. Typical.

UncleSkinny claims I was "ranting" and thus he blocked me. But as any rational person can see, he was the one ranting with obscenities and wild charges and intolerance, and I simply and politely asked him for evidence. He couldn't support his rants so he flipped out even further.

Well, I still think that Nigel Farage is a good dude. COSIGNED by Morrissey and Johnny Rotten and millions across the UK and Western Civilization! :)

He knows that his credibility rests on not seeming racist. However, his association with racists in his party and Donald Trump set the alarm bells ringing.

Associating with the President of the United States sets off "alarm bells" for you? Wow, scary stuff. I'm enjoying watching all the critics of Nigel and Brexit being proven wrong on all of their fear-mongering and B.S. They will be ridiculed by history one day.

People like you are already being ridiculed and always will it be so.

Sidnettle and his gang, hear alarm bells when asked to find gainful employment. They are always looking for 'racists' who may be hiding under the bed, yet, when they visit the USA, when they finally cross the pond, if you drive him through the ghetto, they paralyze themselves insider the car. You have find a dog to bark them out.
Dudes are whack.

Most of the stuff they own they scam and carry inside 'backpacks'.

No, the main problem my people have is what Trump warned us about: Winning so much can get exhausting.
