So he's now signing albums by other artists and sells them at 300 dollars apiece at his concerts.

This is a deeply cynical cash-grab orchestrated by someone who knows that a handful of his pathetic newcomer fans will purchase anything he serves up. Honest question, when do you guys think Morrissey died? I'm going to say sometime midway through the Ringleader tour. Quarry would have been such a fitting swan song. A little stiff, a little bloated, but mostly made up of good songs full of memorable lines. A couple victory laps around the world and renewed legacy status in pop music. By 2008, you could start to smell the milk curdling, but even something like "That's How People Grow Up" couldn't tip us off to how dire things would get within the decade to follow.

I mean, f***. Look at that Hollywood Bowl show in 2007 and compare it to Saturday night. He and the band look great, the setlist is nearly flawless and the crowd was rapturous for a man who had not yet dismantled every morsel of good will he'd accrued over 30 years in the limelight. Now you've got an undersold double-headlining tour with a scattered, sagging set and a merch table with all the subtlety of a truckstop bathroom. Bleak. Where's Jo Slee? Where's Linder? Where's Alain? Hell, where's Merck Mercuriadis?

In a bad mood I'd say Ringleader was his last great record. That's How People Grow Up was crap. Someone Is Squeezing My Sack was worse. In a good mood I'd say there are some brilliant songs on World Peace and High in Low School. Moz's voice is better than ever. I enjoy his concerts. At times I feel Moz owes us nothing after giving us so many brilliant Smiths and Solo albums.

a fan video was posted on the smiths & Morrissey rarities last month , (by Victor Esparza), who had half a dozen Moz LPs in hand, moz signed them on stage, every single one of them, then snubbed another fan who wanted their What Difference Does It Make signed, “Nope, you brought the wrong one”, I thought he was just pissing about and would eventually sign it, but nope. I know if you do your homework it’s known that Moz doesn’t sign smiths records no more, but to see a paying fan f***ed off like that, was pretty shitty, I’m sure the guy or girl felt really shitty too.
