A Brexit backlash is taking over the internet. A petition calling for parliament to revoke Article 50 – the rule which means the UK will leave the European Union on March 29 – and remain in the EU, has gained a huge number of signatures and keeps getting more supporters.

At the time of writing, signatories numbered 936,151, but the petition passed one million signatures at 2:54pm. A tweet from the Petitions Committee, a cross-party group of MPs appointed by House of Commons, revealed this to be the fastest rate of signing for any petition."

Morrissey is right - Brexit is never going to happen. It will be delayed, fudged, kicked into the long-grass, and eventually dismissed as 'unworkable'. It was never going to be allowed by those in power. I'm not sure what all the panic is about, frankly. Neither the EU nor the majority of Parliament, or even our Prime Minister really want it too happen, so it won't.
 
Pack democracy in and let the war begin, we tried and we failed. Politics was always the way for the wealthy to gain more wealth. Not respecting the out come of democratic elections is now something that upsets no one.

Brexit is failing because it was a joke referendum that allowed any old bunch of tossers to make any kind of populist promises without having responsibility to carry-through with them.

Brexit could have been done in a sober, organised way if it had been planned 5 or 6 years in advance, and not just represented the collective drunken spasm of Little Britain's Andy "I want that one. No I want that one." mentality, fuelled by endless lies from tabloid rags, UK Government scapegoating and misdirection, and opportunistic con-artists.

Meanwhile, some Leave voters are still under the illusion that the 2016 ref. was also a vote on immigration policy, while the current UK Government still have done nothing to reduce non-EU migration (which they have always been fully in control of) down to the "tens of thousands" level they previously claimed to be targeting; in fact, just this January, the Conservative government quietly dropped all mention of the immigration target from their post-Brexit plan.
