Morrissey racist? He's just stirring the storm in his tea cup

Thank you for the link - a bit of well-written common sense. I feel a bit better now. :)

All this nastiness regarding Morrissey and his latest "gaffe" makes me a bit sad, silly as that may be. What with the world in such a sorry, sorry state, and the press gets on its high-horse to knock around one of the most empathetic singers anyone's ever heard. I can think of a few million better targets for their ire. I suppose, in a perverse way, it shows that someone out there still cares.

It's gotten to the point where every new interview becomes an all-hands-on-deck effort to mitigate the latest damage, which brings Morrissey's quote to mind about why he appreciates his fans: because he knows that when we say we're Morrissey fans, we always have to explain why. That's getting to be a more difficult job these days, to be sure. :rolleyes:
