I knew they would come down in price. I would also expect this for the Moz Vegas residency.
I saw Moz in Vegas a few years back, and they literally gave away a chunk of unsold tickets on the day. I guess by that point they figured just encouraging people into the casino with a free show was better than nothing. I felt like a bit of a prat having paid full price, but waaaay too risky to chance on the day!

How were they giving them away? Online or in person?

Paper tickets, in person. This was a few years ago though, when physical tickets were still the norm.

I'm guessing quite a few people traded up for the newly released pit tickets, as I'm now seeing lots of folk trying to flog seats on Twitter/Facebook for under face value?

More generally, looking at the tickets still available the middle section is mostly sold out, but both the side sections are half empty, with dozens of unsold seats. :paranoid:

I'm not one of those haters who is crowing about this, and I'm sure there will be enough rabid fans there to still make it a good experience, but I am fascinated on how badly Morrissey is struggling to sell tickets for what are relatively small venues in his core fanbase territory. I've never seen him have sales this sluggish in the USA. It's bizarre.

Yes, it is bizarre that people have sales dips when they've had worldwide negative publicity & haven't talked to the media for half a decade.

In meetings I'm always saying that all we need to sell a show is the lead actor's nephew to post on his own website & a couple of tweets from the venue days before opening.

What time does this concert begin CET ?

Doors are meant to open at 8pm Arizona time.
Probably on stage just after 9?

FWD.

Thanks , so it's 6 am at my place . I am very curious about the setlist. May as many songs from Dog and Bonfire as possible.

Yep, it's pretty exciting especially as we know almost for certain that we're going to get at least one new song. These situations may not happen many times again in the future so worth soaking them up. Assuming a 22 song setlist, I'd like 3 (little-played) Smiths songs, 4 Bona Drag era, 3 or 4 Kill Uncle and other Morrissey/Nevin, 4 more from the 90s, none from 2000-2010, 3 from World Peace deluxe, 0 from California Son, 4 from Dog, and 3 new ones. I'd probably be most excited about some of the Morrissey/Nevin stuff as most hasn't been played for decades (except for Changed my Plea and The Loop). Would love to hear Sing Your Life or Driving your g/f. Alain's always been a big fan of Our Frank but doubt he could convince Morrissey. Whatever is played, hope it's a great show for all those attending.

I was trying to be neutral, because I do like Brendan, but I think it would be great to see Matt Walker back in the band.

Anyone with a gram of music running through the veins will know Matt Walker IS one of the World's best drummers and musicians.

No comparison is required because it is fruitless. The same for other positions in M's band.

To be fair, Arizona is big but not *that* big, most shows take place in the metropolitan area at the marquee theatre which holds about 2500 people. You have the violent femmes tonight which has been in the works for months. You have Morrissey’s show that was announced on April 18th, virtually no advertising except online due to short announcement, and you have $120 tickets as the cheapest option. I have multiple friends not going because they were priced out and cruel world is this weekend. They’re all saving money for the trip out to LA. But it’s a mistake on Morrissey’s management to not lower these remaining tickets as there are quite a few left. Gonna be awkward tonight maybe.
