Morrissey "not homosexual" - statement at true-to-you.net

"Unfortunately, I am not homosexual. In technical fact, I am humasexual. I am attracted to humans. But, of course ... not many".

-MORRISSEY, Sweden, 19 October 2013.

http://true-to-you.net/morrissey_news_131019_01

WOW! Quote of the year. Well, we heard it from the man himself--he is humansexual. And like most humansexuals, he is not attracted to all men and all women. He is selective.

I have decided, just now, that I too am humansexual. :p

Thank you. That is the entire point I was trying to make.

That's because he is not - no matter what you want to read into it

He's stated that it took him a long time to warm up to females and now if he sees a
beautiful woman he can be attracted like any man - 16 years ago I think the interview was

He had a relationship with several women - Tina being one of then ( bless her)

What more can the man say ? Or do

yeah yeah yeah. How long ago did he write the part about a vagina being a Bermuda Triangle? I am not trying to convince you. LOL "like any man" except one that is homosexual. Or are homosexuals not men? Whatever. I have to be careful how I answer or my replies won't be posted so this is rather more trouble than it's worth. You believe what you want.

Since you asked, the part about the Bermuda Triangle vaginas was written about a time long before he stated that he could be attracted to beautiful women like any man. He was talking about teenage sex with the local girls.

It was written about just recently and first published on October 17. He formulated those thoughts as a young lad, but this section of the book is written in the present tense. So it has a I still hold these views feel to it.

HE GIFT POST THAT KEEPS ON GIVING -

UM...

He is bisexual with heterosexual tendencies...

Please see the myriad of random examples:

Q: You're taken for an aesthete. Are you never attracted by plastic beauty? Women’s physiques?

M: I've had a quite late development on this level. Now if I see a beautiful woman I can be attracted like any man. But I find it very embarrassing. It's the same whether it's an attraction to a man or a woman. Nothing seems to go well with me. The concept of attraction doesn't work. Human relations don't work... If I see someone I find attractive, then I flee in the other direction. I'd be absolutely unable to go and talk to this person. What's the use of going and saying that I find this person attractive? It could never go well between us. The few times when I tried to build relationships - when I was younger - they never worked out for very long. So I gave up

Oh...by the way...my dad's best friend is the keyboard player for Morrissey. And Morrissey is bisexual for sure. He has attraction for the drummer Matt Chamberlain for sure. Take it for what its worth...believe me or not....

Will you send me some pornography? Do you HAVE a girlfriend? Do you LIKE girls? I have a girlfriend called Annalisa. We're both bisexual. Real hip, huh? I hate sex.

So "any man" could be attracted to beautiful women? *wrong answer buzzer* I get a laugh out of "could be." Being gay doesn't make you blind and neither does being straight. A straight man can still tell which of his male friends fits his society's definition of more and less attractive. That doesn't mean you want to have sex with them. Why do you think so many fashion designers are gay but design clothes for women? When you look at the heels I guess you could say they hate them. haha But seriously, I can tell if a woman is beautiful and I like beautiful women. I might even "be attracted" it's not the same thing.

Imagine a man announcing he's had long-term relationships with another man and feels that he "could be attracted to a beautiful woman." Imagine this is a friend of yours talking to other friends. No one is going to say "Oh, you know what? Let's make up a new name for this. How about ... humansexual?" Really? It's totally ridiculous.

It certainly brings a new angle to the Barry Manilow song. Unless that's what Barry meant all along...

He has always maintained he is NOT homosexual. Just because you can't imagine going both ways doesn't mean he doesn't. There are plenty of references to females he's attracted to in the book and he actually names one he wants to have a child with and she's one of four people he names in the thank you page and the only one that appears in the actual book text. So sorry he doesn't feel your mold. But sexuality is not always black and white. He is very comfortable with his sexuality and has no reason to lie about it now. For all we know he's in a relationship with a woman now and having the whole world say he's come out as gay hurts that relationship. Subconsciously that put doubt in his significant othe'rs mind. Some people really are attracted to a person and not what they have or don't have between their legs.

Or maybe it's out of respect to the female he is with now? He cares enough about her to make a statement about something he never cared to address before.

If this is true, it is about the sweetest thing I have ever heard. Morrissey is always full of surprises.

Just stop. Speaking of black and white the video above was really my last word on it. But you force me to reply. You think I'm going to convince "the woman he is in a relationship with" - lol *eyeroll* - that he is gay? Wow. I'm going to stop because I've obviously made my point if you can come to that conclusion. Thank you.

Morrissey has every right to defend his own rights and opinions, for years the gay community have called for him to become a gay spokesman and he has quite rightly ignored them, if they cannot handle that like the previous poster obviously couldn't then it is them who should " f*** off " as he so elequently put it. As for johnnybags its no surprise he labelled it a terrific post, he only agrees with posts that abuse or attack morrissey. It is he who needs professional help for being constantly on a forum about someone he clearly despises. Morrissey's career is far from over as all sane and rational fans know

Amazes me how angry some people like JBarleythorn can get over another persons sexuality! I suspect he is a closet fan?;), for which there is no cure!

Lisa Marie Presley said fairly recently that she and Michael Jackson had a normal marriage, that they had sex, and that he was a passionate lover. So what, exactly, is your point?

Morrissey has a very close relationship with a man, by his own admission, but maintains he is neither homosexual or bisexual, instead inventing a new word to explain his sexuality and you (not for the first time, I'm sure) swallow it. Gulp.

I'm trying to think of anyone else who has worked on an autobiography for years yet finds himself having to explain himself within a few short days. Clearly, he either doesn't seem to have been there all the time, or is being economical with the truth.

Michael Stipe once defined his sexuality as "Equal Opportunities lech". Whatever state his teeth were in at the time, I think that's neater than "humasexual".

If Morrissey has every right to defend his rights and opinions so do I.

For someone so private why did he address his relationships at all? Why write an autobiography, in fact? This man, this deeply private, painfully shy, retiring, demure creature who has to be dragged kicking and screaming on stage, who will only be drawn into a comment if he is put to the rack, this Morrissey, this brilliant construct, has been caught out, not by anybody else, but by himself.

In your desire to attack me, you have clearly ignored the several posts where I have praised the book, criticising only the fact that the central character comes across as a nasty piece of work by the end. A great book, about a not very nice person. I think that's pretty fair.

It doesn't surprise me some members of the gay community find this "humasexual" bullshit somewhat offensive. It is an insult to peoples' intelligence. Having little yourself you are clearly immune, of course.

He also had one with a woman

Which in the real world makes him bisexual. Only in Morrissey World is it necessary to invent a new lexicon to avoid the truth. It's really quite bizarre, and leads you to think that as far as a certain pop star is concerned the earth is populated by six and a half billion of us and Morrissey.

Morrissey and everyone on this forum..... Just live your life.

Just.....Be.

Don't explain anything. Don't make up words. Don't label yourself. Don't hyphenate. All you end up doing is putting yourself into a box.

People spend far too much time and energy trying to "define" themselves and others. It means nothing.

Just.......Live.......Your.......Life.
