Going back in so early is a bit odd - they haven't even toured most places for the last album yet. I guess they want to recapture the same 'vibe' if they've got half an album of stuff laying around. Presumably in the old days, they'd have stuck those tracks out as B Sides.
I wonder if they will sit on the finished record for ages, or put it out in a couple of months. It's been so long since Morrissey used to release an album a year, I've forgotten what it's like! Weird to think from 83-92 this was the norm!
