Don't know if people are aware of this, but the opening track on a CD attached to the new issue of Blender is "I Like You," with the Tommy gun pic inside the liner notes.
The CD is called "Budweiser True Music: Eight of the Hottest Unisgned Bands in America Today," plus bonus tracks from Morrissey, The Darkness, The Von Bondies, The Streets, and Ben Kweller. The eight unsigned bands are: El Guapo, Endochine, Preston Clarke, 40 Watt Hype, Jag Star, Buckra, Releese, and Welbilt.
It says to check out www.budweiser.com "for the Budweiser True Music bands and more information," but I can't be bothered. However, it's nice to see Morrissey living up to his anti-corporate posing.
Then, in a section called "Fan Fashion," Blender shows some pics of the fashion statements from four Morrissey fans at Morrissey concerts, plus a professional model made up to look like a Morrissey fan if a Morrissey fan could afford an outfit that costs thousands of dollars. Don't know why they think a Morrissey fan would wear eel shoes and an eel belt.
