Not true at all. Or would you consider Battersea Power Station or Northgate Centre in Chester of 1997 in any way comparable to Ally Pally, RAH, Palladium, Leeds and Birmingham arena's of 2018?
He is bigger now than he ever was, even more so outside of the UK. He is doing his biggest capacity European show ever in Berlin in July.

So why are there 3 venues in the UK with capacity of less than 2500 not sold out a week after tickets went on sale nor are the 2 shows in Manchester?

Well, maybe because he has just done a very succesful high-profile UK Tour a couple of months ago. Not everyone cares or has the dough to go see him twice.

And it never did, I suppose. Fair enough.
So many fans have abandoned ship this year, or 10 years ago, or 20 years ago, and so many new fans have come aboard. That's the circle of life.
However, he is a much stronger force now than he was, say 20 years, ago so I would think he will get his animal welfare-agenda accross much better now.

New younger fans listening / accessing music for free yes, but not paying 70 quid for a ticket.
