Morrissey Central: "Andrew Yang" (December 7, 2019)

It might be slightly toxic, but there may come a point where people say: I don't care, I just want immigration reduced and extreme Islam taken seriously. And if this happens it will be because the main parties still haven't addressed these very real concerns.

Maybe. But I think we are taking real concerns seriously, even though we're still using the same hug a hoodie style rhetoric (it's very tough to be nuanced in our soundbite, pull-quote, outrage culture) & Anne Marie is simply destroying her own reputation. For nothing.

Labour wouldn't be so unappealing to the great mass if they understood that their economic, industry nationalisation and pro-NHS policies make a lot of sense, whereas their social policies are way too loony for most people's liking. It's why your common man used to vote Labour but now despises them.

Nods head. The problem with Labour, is they think their compassion has to include the whole world rather than purely the British people. The virtue signalling policies are killing them in the eyes of the working class. That and Brexit.

Anne Marie is ex-Labour but somewhere along the line must have realised why the working class have deserted Labour in their droves. I think she's quite clever in that way. It's also why Morrissey gives his support - because he is ex-Labour also. FB policies seem designed to appeal to the working class in all the ways current Labour don't. Despite his wealth I feel that Morrissey still quite identifies with his working class roots, hence his politics.

The sad shame with Labour is that they seem to be more interested in attracting non-English and migrant votes than in trying to bring back the working class who have largely deserted them. I don't exactly include Corbyn in this, but as an old school socialist he is way outnumbered in his own party which won't bode well for his future.

The problem with "For Britain".....is Ann herself.....far too dour and in an age of what you look like as a politician counts......she has a face like she's been in too many lesbian boxing matches.

Morrissey should cease giving his support & Anne Marie should come to her senses. It won't get anywhere.

We're not targeting migrants, any idea that 'non-English' people would naturally vote Labour died a long time ago. Like all parties we will try to appeal to different groups if we think it would help get us past the post on a constituency by constituency basis. Not that it does, really. We have lost the working-classes & we know it & we're working on it.

Well, that's not strictly true...in every area that's majority non-white, the candidate or elected MP is nearly always non-white. There's also the fact that in every single borough/area which has a predominantly non-white population....every single MP is Labour. After all.........why would you vote for any party that's anti-immigration if you're an immigrant? People vote based on what's best for them. You've lost the working class vote forever.......the white working class are waking up to the fact that Labour are globalists, in league or at least approving of the UN/EU plan to flood Europe with those from the middle-east and Africa. People are finally getting it.

Anne is a daft narcissist with delusions of great political grandeur. Unlike someone like Marine LePen or AFD's Frauke Petry, she lacks a firm ideology, is NOT really clear on why she's anti-immigrant and departed Labour simply because she saw it as a dead end for her own career. She's a f***ing idiot.

Please don't argue with me. I know what I am talking about.

It's not ethnicity, it's class. We dominate (or used to) in post-Industrial areas & with middle-class liberals/public sector workers. Most immigrants will first settle in post-industrial areas, so they join our party.

Maybe we've lost the working-class forever, but you never know...

Labour don't want to talk about ethnicity if it's about white ethnicity. They don't want to go there. Too many truths would pop up.

Our membership is uncontrollable, if it concerned them, it would be all over our social media. They'd heckle it at conventions. Branches would be war zones. It's the gig economy & social isolation that are the big trends behind all the issues that upset them.

Course it doesn't concern them....most people in the Labour Party don't live on council estates...mass immigration doesn't impact on them for the most part and even if they do, they go through life thinking of some mythical utopia where everybody gets on and life is perfect.

Most of them are in social housing. But, you're right that middle-class life has not changed as radically as working-class life & so we don't fully understand why they're scapegoating immigration. (It's the free-market economy & the permissive society that impacted lifestyles, not mass immigration).
