Morrissey at the movies

Belgian-based Latvian editor Elina Ventere finally released her project 'Morrissey at the movies'.

As she herself says:

""Morrissey at the Movies" is online!
I had so much fun discovering some great cinematic pearls and I even had more fun making this little compilation cause Morrissey has passions just like mine"

I believe it is weak of Moz not to list his fave gay movies like "400 blowjobs". Not bad for a gay porn flick I must say.

"Shut up and suck!".

No link!

Yes I know you were being ironic but aren't we all?
So that's the movie Rifke got her online recording voice from.

It all makes sense now!

"My daddy is bun-bun well not quite but he is a homosexual living in Sweden. Not that he comes from there no he's a son of an ambassador who goes to Mykonos to celebrate vacations with other homosexuals. Oh he is perfect and handsome and all a woman could wish for. But oy vey what dark cloud do I see on the horizon oh it must be it can't be yes it is Urbanus the awful ethnic swede. A horrible man who eats with his hands and even chews on paper straws when he's not clutching at straws which he does all the time. As for me I am here all alone in Canada and no one understands me not even strippers who are used to all kinds but you see people I am special and quite unique and I buy invisible coats cause I cannot be seen cause I cannot stand people. I must go now to fast some more and continue to be a bore cause a bore is the best you can be when everyone out there is funny and witty and normal but not me oh no I sleep with the bats upside down to bring at least some blood to my brain. So sleep world when I sleep cause how can there ever be life without me please explain if you can but you never will".

Oh my

Enough! or Too much
Sam hired Elina Ventere because he knew she would do a terrible job...
So next time someone complains about the quality of his work, he'll say: "Oh, shut up.... at least I am not Elina!".

Doesn't get more Morrisseyesque than Mike Leigh and his movies Naked and All or Nothing. All or nothing by the Salford director was probably the first the world saw of James Corden playing the obese teenage boy in a constant foul mood ending up having a heart attack.

The finest moment in film when it comes to painting a bleak picture where everything is like a long Morrissey video with just his songs and voice missing.

Suicide and despair in a kitchen sink drama set in London where the cab driver Phil tries to keep his family together but thinking about killing himself and as always with something like that other things in life takes place pushing everything toward a showdown and climax.

"Oh at least I don't have to deal with a 14.7 cm dick from Argentina" Elina mused.

"Talent borrows, genius steals".

That's a quote often attributed to Oscar Wilde although my internet search turned up the actual quote and source:

"Immature poets imitate; mature poets steal; bad poets deface what they take, and good poets make it into something better, or at least something different."
-T.S. Eliot
what? :lbf:

Wilde came first ....

‘Steve Jobs “stole” from Picasso when he said, “Good artists copy, great artists steal”.

Picasso “stole” from T.S. Eliot who phrased it as, “Immature poets imitate, mature poets steal”.

Eliot “stole” that from Oscar Wilde who gave us the line, “Talent borrows, genius steals”.

Who knows where Wilde “stole” it from…’

Yep, but Wilde may or may not have actually said it as it doesn't appear in any of his printed work

“If, with the literate, I am Impelled to make an epigram, I never seek to take the credit; We all assume that Oscar said it.” Dorothy Parker

In other words it’s so clever Oscar must have said it.

Cookie I think you're tame!

Oh the lonely unemployed afternoons when I played the bass to that tune in my room. I even performed it to Kimmo my friend with finnish parents and next door the KENT singer was snogging Tanja who also had finnish parents.

You're getting me confused with that daft cunt JJ!
Who's JJ?

I haven't seen you around here in ages so what suddenly made you mention me?

Cannot say I am too sure who you are tbh but I remember your username. How old are you these days?

dear god, another fucking ex-moderator with a mouth.
when will you people go away?

if only things could be done YOUR way, right? you fucking narcissists.
Ex-moderator: True but completely irrelevant to my question.
I never suggested it should be different.

I asked if I was missing something. Is there a tie in between IWTOICH and that movie?
I am not sure how wanting to know more than I know makes me a narcissist but if you have insight into my question I'd be happy to hear it.

that cemetary scene in billy liar is hilarious when he tries to slip her a sex pill, totally backfires.watched sleuth a fortnight ago watched rebel without a cause about a month ago, with so many film channels these days you will eventually come across most of these films at some point.
Is the "sex pill" some sort of Spanish Fly kind of thing? I've never seen the movie.
