Morrissey and the Rainbow Connection

QUESTION: What song would you most love to see Morrissey cover? Is there a song that Moz didn't write that you think would be an amazing cover for him to do, that would suit his voice?

Personally, I'm placing my vote for "The Rainbow Connection"...but I think the chances would be slim....

P.s. I am ready for the onslaught of slams to come...

"The Rainbow Connection" as in Kermit the Frog? Just want to make sure I'm thinking of the right song.

I can't see Morrissey covering anything actually (I don't even know if he has in the past to tell you the truth; he certainly hasn't on any of the Smiths or Morrissey albums I have that I know of) Anyhow, I think it's one of those things where his own songs are so good and he does them so well that I wouldn't want him to cover anyone else's.

His covers, I think, are pretty unsuccessful. "That's Entertainment" is ok, "Moonriver" and "Golden Lights" are terrible, as is the Cilla Black song who's name I can't remember. His voice is too distinctive to wrap around another artist's words.
