Morrissey and Taxis

In KALIfornia  all but one props FAILED at the ballot because Californians don't want to be subjected to endless TAXES in the play called life.

"There is a different mood all over the world..." Someone once said that.

What I’m about to write will not (as usual) make sense to most of you, but to those who it does I caution you to pay very close attention.

Morrissey is two people. He’s a man. He’s a woman. He’s also in tune with nature to such an extent that many stories reflect his own, one of the most prominent and almost exact is that of My Fair Lady. He’s an experiment, flanked by two men tux’s at a ball, the final event to show off their work, their “live doll.” In the end he’s acquired a language that is of no use to him in the real world, dropped when the bet is over, no longer able to connect with his old people and of no interest to the people who trained him. Morrissey discusses this and the details of the nature of this arrangement in his song Lucky Lisp. A pivotal scene in the musical is when Eliza Doolittle confronts Professor Higgins after he’s boasted of his success at her expense by saying, “Take your slippers and may you never have a day’s luck with them.” She’s referring to the lucky lisp she’s been taught. It could be lips (being part girl) but I think it’s “the spill” she refers to, the pour, etoille. A new language and belonging nowhere and to nobody. Learning the spill she has the capability to be a bull who gores the matador in the tux, but she doesn’t for fear she might gore herself. She also knows the nature of the spill and chooses not to use it as Professor Higgins has, “Where the devil are my slippers?” In the end Eliza is seen by Professor Higgins side in the context of his slippers because she’s been sent to be a voice of reason in the game of messing with fate, playing God. There’s a difference between playing God and being God and the male Eliza Doolittle is that difference. The female Eliza is fed up and so sings this song which record collectors should pay attention to because she sings about your new b-sides album. She sick of the game of backsides and needs it to be real. She needs her other half by her side, not Freddy the ghost or zombie or whatever while the real one is doing live doll shows all over the world.

Watch the steam in the bath scene, you'll never do magic again, Morrissey's source of rage.
