Morrissey made some good rockabilly songs, just not this one. The music is too sparse, basically just a rhythm and it could have done with more guitars. And the vocal melody is somewhat disjoint from the music Imo. But I can se how it brings back happy memories.
At last - someone who agrees with me about this song! From the comments on this thread you'd think it was a career highlight. I can see that there are some good ingredients, but they just don't sit together well.
