More sexist bullshit

Don't tell them I get the sun!!!!!!!!!

Your secrets out lol.

It's called objectification.
Anon x... if you don't think pink for girls is a feminist issue, then you really know nothing about feminism.
It's just another way to bracket us.
But anyway. Even I'm getting bored of stating the obvious to you.

Considering its a joke I cant see how you can say its wrong it happens just as much if not more the opposite way round

luvm, you do realize that you come across as just as much a troll/asshole as, say, Theo and Arsenal? Just sayin'.

I, personally, have no issue with you, but I think I'm in the minority.

er I don't think you're allowed to name call in off-topic anymore, but thanks for your thoughts.

Also, there a lot of people who agree with me, they just aren't as vocal as I am.

Ignore it really. They are just showing how disgusting and bullying they are. Do not let it get you down. It is childish and shows what a small life they have.

Good grief. I wasn't trying to bully her; I was just pointing out to her that she comes across just as histrionic and shrill as some of the other beloved assholes around here. Sheesh.

Why is having a control pad coming out her belly a problem though? I dont get the problem.

I think you are missing the point its a joke and thats it. The control pad isnt even suitable for the generation of gaming as that a PS2 control pad and not a PS3 one so its not for any form of advertising.

It's a problem because it's insinuating that in a perfect world, women would just be playthings, and not people making their own decisions and actions. Some things are intended as jokes, and perhaps this is one of those things, but underneath the joke is the message I have an issue with. I can see how those novelty remote control things for controlling the opposite sex might be considered as jokes, and even if one disagrees they don't target just men or just women; but I don't see this ad as a good joke myself.

I was not talking to you.
not naming who you are talking about paints everyone with that brush then
just so you know
i mean i do that all the time just to safe be safe from banning :o
but you are a mod vicar, you can say whatever you want about anybody at anytime
granted, you are the nicest mod and would not do that i think :)

:sweet: I tend to think that if people see it as referring them then they have prob been saying things that maybe are not too nice.
I like to be nice to everyone Robby you know that.

Object

n.

Something perceptible by one or more of the senses, especially by vision or touch.

You cannot 'objectify' a human being, we area all objects by definition to begin with.

Your "English" degree hard at work again, I see.

objectify

verb
1. make external or objective, or give reality to; "language externalizes our thoughts" [syn: exteriorize]
2. make impersonal or present as an object; "Will computers depersonalize human interactions?"; "Pornography objectifies women" [syn: depersonalize] [ant: gash]

FAIL.

How can one 'objectify' an object? That is what you seemingly don't get.

Human beings are objects by our very definition. How can one 'objectify' something, that by it's very existence, is already an object to begin with?

You cannot objectify an object.

There are more than one definition of "object" and I suspect you know this perfectly well. Arguing over semantics is all very well but you're just taking the piss here.
