Does anybody have an upload of a complete greatest hits package by the Monkees, especially one that includes "What Am I Doing Hangin' Round"?
Thanks.

Wow
Nice request, that is my favourite Monkees song and I have been to lots of record shops, there are a number of greatest hits albums and the best one's never have this track on.
I too have been looking for one that has 'Day Dream Believer', 'Last Train To Clarksville', 'Pleasant Valley Sunday' and 'Stepping Stone' etc etc and also 'What Am I doing Hanging Around' on there as well.
Hope someone can come up trumps.

That song is on Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn and Jones from 1967. I know you can buy the CD at Amazon as well as download the MP3 of it. It's also on their Music Box (box set). Sorry, I don't have it for you...and I'm not much help, but here is this, just cuz (where else would I post it?! :p)

Are you people serious? A lightweight made-for-tv band who didn't even write their biggest hit?

wow.

One of my favorite songs ever..I was ten years old when the Monkees were rerun on MTV..Because of those shows, I used to run to my brothers' drum kit after school everyday and practice to those records hoping one day I'd be living at the beach playing in a rock band and having hot chicks at my disposal. :guitar:

you know that part in the theme song, where they say "we may be comin to your town..." ???

I actually thought, if i prayed hard enough, that they would actually come to Riverside, NJ. I didnt really understand that those shows were actually in syndication, and that they were filmed in the 1960s. i thought it was like, recent and stuff. :o

and I lurve you! I was a little older than 4 and a little closer to the TV :D but I agree that they helped get me into music -theirs was the first record I bought. That I still have. And signed by Davy *sigh* My Mom 'accidentally' sold it -and a bunch of other records that I did not give her the OK on -she thought she was doing me a favor!-- in a garage sale and I made her get it back STAT. I was so pissed!
