Molly Nilsson AND Morrissey

Oh my

Enough! or Too much
Anyone else likes Molly Nilsson????
I am mostly asking because her work contains a LOT of references to Morrissey and The Smiths, but she never said a word about it.

I.e, the title of her first album (2008) is "These things take time"

... Then I can't help relating the oddity of this song with
"And if a double-decker bus
Crashes into us
To die by your side
Is such a heavenly way to die
And if a ten ton truck
Kills the both of us
To die by your side
Well, the pleasure, the privilege is mine
"

"Won't somebody take me out tonight / I want to shine like the street light"

Which is making an obvious reference to There is a Light that never goes out again...

I doubt it's just a coincidence.

Never heard of her.

Never heard of her.
Because she is not famous...
One of her songs became famous when it was "covered" by John Mauss (covered.... actually Mauss simply played the original version and added his voice on top, creating some sort of non-authorized duet with Nilsson).

By the time he did it, he was fervently taking part in the protests that claimed that Trump had won the election... Which made Nilsson get even more pissed off and she managed to demonstrate that she was the owner of the copyright and donated the whole money of the song to BLM.

I was simply curious because the references to The Smiths show up again and again in her works.
