once again, you've missed the point

i wasnt guaranteed a job when i finished school- and there are plenty of unskilled labor positions that are supported by unions that fight for the benefits. not everyone has to be a college grad.

i know you fancy youself a great satirist, but you've done better!

i dont hate my job. i would guess that everyone has moments that are boring to some degree but i feel overall you get what you give in reference to how rewarding your job is to you.

why do you think it is wrong to be successful? most of the people (yes, they are people) who have the big car, house, income, etc. have earned it through hard work and sacrifice. ive known a few who have done it. i wouldnt want to trade places with any of them because im not willing to put in the 75 hour weeks and be away from my family to make all that $ but i dont begrudge them their hard earned rewards. i have to admit that there is a tinge of jealousy sometimes when i see the new car or house that one of my old classmates have.....but then i realise that i have everything i really need and a great life and family to go with it!

thats why we have unions(although i think some of the unions have forgotten their purpose). i work a union job. my representitives negotiate a contract that allows for funeral leave, etc. i know there are still many people who dont work for a union, but if they dont feel they are being treated fairly, they have the right to seek other employment.

i was looking for a job when i found this one..... i guess i would quit whining and go out and pound the pavement!

i dont know if you meant to but you proved my point! if you really are meant to be an artist/actor/director/performer you will make it. then there are those who only wish they had the talent/training/genius - - they have to accept at some point that they may have to make a living in another way and express their dream on their own time.

My DVD player was given to me by the government. Then again, I am also being paid to go to school...

Well, no wonder, I'm quite sure you've been brainwashed in school since day 1.

These are censu bureau numbers.

You missed the point. A large percentage of people without healthcare coverage work fulltime jobs.

They cannot afford the premiums.

Even if it was 20 million people it would be outrageous.

I knew you never meant it when you said you loved me.

we dont have to get along all of the time for me to love you!

no........

i dont remember ever hearing about health care in school. my feelings about it are (my opinion) based on observations that;
1. big government isnt very efficient or smart in money matters(ever pay $516.00 for a wrench?)

2. public funded healthcare isnt as good as what we have now

3. it would cost a TON of money and raise taxes to the point that it would lower most peoples standard of living(of all classes)
