Saw a Tom Chivers tweet (it's NOT NEWS) that made me think of Morrissey & the predicament he's ended up in.

if people seem slightly stupid, they’re probably just stupid. But if they seem colossally and inexplicably stupid, you probably differ in some kind of basic assumption so fundamental that you didn’t realize you were assuming it, and should poke at the issue until you figure it out.

Huge swathes of the left are getting alienated or cancelled by identity politics - if he wasn't so fond of extreme gestures, he could reach out & find himself in good company. But in the meantime, it would be nice if the press did some digging & stopped dismissing him as a racist. He's more about second-wave & queer theory (because obviously he'd like two things that are at loggerheads with each other).

Looks like lil' Sam will go on forever, posting "big successes" of his uncle. My god, why can't anyone see, that these "NEWS" or fake pics of Moz loving celebrities are part of the problem, as they are not the solution career-wise.

I do sometimes get the feeling Moz and Sam are trolling us with this stuff. They come on here (and we know at least some of the entourage do), see us all foaming at the mouth over it, rub their hands with glee at the dastardliness of it, then toddle off to find another clunking, desperate picture to upset us all. And if they can't find one, Sam does one of his 'special' Photoshops. Perverts.

I do sometimes get the feeling Moz and Sam are trolling us with this stuff. They come on here (and we know at least some of the entourage do), see us all foaming at the mouth over it, rub their hands with glee at the dastardliness of it, then toddle off to find another clunking, desperate picture to upset us all. And if they can't find one, Sam does one of his 'special' Photoshops. Perverts.

I think its even sadder than trolling. It reminds me of a guy at my school in the late eighties (no it wasn't me) who stole a metal ruler from the Craft and Design Department and went round the playground one lunchtime slapping girls on the backside with it. After he did this to the same girl more than once, she turned round and started screaming and swearing at him. The whole playground stopped to listen. The guy in question stood there smiling because despite this girl (who was way out of his league) telling him what an absolute dick he was, he had her complete attention in a way he never would in any other situation.

I don't visit other artist/band related websites but is it normal to upload photos of song lyrics sprayed on a wall, pictures of tour date posters on a bus, photos of people gathered in a public place to mourn a well known sports personality and one has an artist/ group tattoo?

It depends on the purpose of the site. Central seems like a mish-mash of things that would be better delivered on other platforms. The pictures would be fine on insta. The interviews, reviews, obits & reminisces would be better on a proper blog. If he really has to wade into debates, then twitter is the place (it's a hellzone - but at least he would build some alliances & wouldn't be the easy target he is at the moment), Facebook is good for selling tickets & merch (but can also be a hellzone).

I can't imagine they've had a meeting about content pillars.
