Because of Carson Cox's hateful comments, I will not purchase any Merchandise songs. Too bad for them because I'm always looking artists to check out with my free download wins. I recently downloaded a Damien Dempsey song based on Morrissey's recommendation. "Canadian Geese" reminded me of Morton Harket's solo material. Too melancholy for me.

This Cox guy should be flattered by the extremely generous comparison. I just listened to Merchandise on YouTube and found them to be reductive and boring. Morrissey, however, is still awesome.

I’m confused. Those are Fugazi lyrics to their song “Merchandise” from Repeater (1990) which is always what I think of when I hear this bands name. I heard a song in passing of theirs (Merchandise) and thought it was kinda funny the guy seems to hate Moz so much considering he kinda has a similar style, as least from the track I heard.
