"Mayhem in the Italian Gothic scene as it was revealed that the 18 year old front woman of Soul Cry, Cristina Balzano, (helped by her younger brother) tried to murder the guitarist of the band (A.D.) for playing a bad solo during rehearsals. The 16 year old victim was rushed to hospital with around 50 (!) stabbing wounds. He survived the attack and is now in hospital recovering from his afflictions, mainly wounds on his head and back. The attempted murder happened on Saturday right after Soul Cry finished rehearsing in the small town of Sestri Ponente, nearby Genua.
Both the singer and her 16 year old brother, the band's bass player, have been arrested on suspicion of premeditated attempted murder. When the singer was arrested, she still had the knife they used for stabbing the boy in her hand. The police also found a letter written by the younger brother which read: "I'm busy preparing a very nice funeral for you."
Balzano initially said she was trying to stop the victim from committing suicide. The victim however said he was stabbed by the two fellow band members. The young brother claims that his sister was the only on stabbing. To be continued in court."
