At SXSW, Morrissey revealed that The Smiths had turned down a $5 million offer to reunite at Coachella this summer. Now ex-Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr says this wasn't even the most money the band had been offered to get back together. Marr confirmed on his Web site that the band was asked to reform for Coachella, and adds that they were "also offered twice as much to play in New York, Hyde Park and God knows what else" in the past.
