Just watching this on ITV3 (is it a repeat?) - tonight it's Manchester, and there was a section on The Ritz, where of course The Smiths played their first gig, with Blue Rondo A La Turk. What I didn't appreciate is that the nightclub scenes in A Taste Of Honey were shot there (was the venue choice by accident or design?), and there was a nice section where Maconie chatted about the Delaney references in The Smiths' early works. Sorry if this has been posted before.
