Were you around in 1989 to 1994 when Morrissey was at the height of his career? Did you ever attend a Morrissey concert at that time? I did. I saw Morrissey 15 times during that period alone. I was at the Pauley Pavillion when they had to stop the show at the third song because the fans trampled each other to get to him. Obsessed and fanatic don't come close to the mood at those shows during that time. It was more of a messiah like worship and his fans were disciples. They would have crawled on hot coals to get to him. You don't know fanatic unless you've been there. .

I was there...more than three songs were played.

Hello, I'm wondering if anyone has information on the videos shown before Morrissey's performance. I especially enjoyed the song/video with the girl in the gondola, was in english but a french accent. Thanks in advance!

Francoise Hardy--has done a duet with Iggy, but almost all her work is in French. Beautiful, sensitive, soulful, one of the greats.

Staples wasn't 100% meet free. They had pastrami sandwiches and other stuff at the premier seating section.

Yes, I have the audio for that show too and went back and listen to it. It sure seemed shorter when I was there. It was crazy. I was crushed up against the stage and a roadie pulled me up. I saw the man and made a run for him but the roadie pulled me off the stage before I could get to him. Then I found myself at the side door and it was open and there was Morrissey looking kinda upset. For good reason, he's the one who started the riot.

Morrissey and the band were fantastic as usual. Unfortunately, huge shows like this bring out a lot of assholes, especially in Los Angeles. For example, there was one little puke in a brown plaid shirt on the right side of the stage who apparently had a short man's complex and a weed addiction who basically ruined the show for a throng of people. He decided to throw and elbow into my back and threaten to punch me for no reason, then he was harassing some young girls. Clearly, he came there to fight and had probably never even heard a Morrissey song. These vile rodents are a very unfortunate side effect of any show in Los Angeles. If anyone knows the little midget in question, please ask him to eat a bullet on behalf of me and the entire Morrissey community.

Anyone have a video of Dempsey introducing the set? I can't find one anywhere. It may not exist considering by the time people realized it he was probably walking off already.

Was 2 rows in front of Tarantino. The riches of the poor girl he was with was apparently the one driving him to attend judging by her Smiths t-shirt. Great show, one of the best I've seen from him. The sound was great on the floor.

Re: the preshow videos, anyone know the name of the artist that looks kinda like Joan Baez where she sang a song that felt like it went on forever?

i found an interesting review from a casual morrissey fan who has a sick drape and rockin quiff hair style. interesting to see how fans of classic rock and roll have fun at moz events. pretty cool he would record it so you dont even have to read it.
