I would feel that way if I had to shake Jay's hand. I completely understand.

Just think. David T has hundreds of pictures of Morrissey's lovely ear.

I'm not being sarcastic, either...

GOD BLESS HIM!!!!! I don't want to see a different Moz.

Now you are being so unfair. I said SORRY, remember??? No, he is not a dead pop star, and this is NOT funny at all. LIKE YOU, I love him, but I want to see him back with a new album. AM I ASKING SO MUCH, as a fan? Please don't judge me, ok????? You don't have the right, cause we are in the same train.

Oh no... maybe just a little bit. See???? Nobody is perfect.

Re: Is Morrissey here, with us??????

Somny dear, come on. pull yourself together. 't was really a funny thing you considered Moz like a dead pop star already, and yet wanting another album. I guess you didn't believe it yourself really that he's no longer active, right? Was it a rhetorical one? don't worry huh if I didn't get it.

peace, sure, was I ever arguing? maybe so, though not intended. sorry 'bout that one.
I'm happy so far with what I got, if there's no new stuff, then that's it. But I can't believe that there isn't. But the future is only an illusion of the mind, so I cannot take it seriously.
Whatever comes, is wellcome.

keep up the good work - Moz's doing the same. don't you think he may get so frighteningly bored about all these questions about an upcoming album? most of the time, these questions are arches, aimed at hurting, questioning him. please don't press, if all continue this perpetual harassment, he'll run. really. he's already scared enough.

Well, that's as far as I'll go. don't worry, I'm not attacking. nor defensing. just typing thoughts. ok? you know what a silly medium this is, don't you? Plug in, process and then walk ... right? "And I never felt quite so alone, ...".

Open to anything,

Who knows what he's thinking? Sometimes I worry. Not that I know anything about being world famous, but I imagine sometimes that having everyone openly voice their opinions can get overwhelming. It bothers me, good or bad, to hear what people say about me and usually that's a couple of people. Usually, if they are polite, they wait until they think you're out of the room to say something bad. Either way, you really don't hear much of anything...or at least, I don't. I can't imagine what sort of change that is and find that it's written openly on the front page of a newspaper.

Sometimes people want to help him and they don't know how. Many people like him, but aren't in a position to do anything, so they worry over him.

POLITE???????? Oh yes, they wait until you go away, and then they start to say horrible, dirty, filthy things about you. OOOOOOhh, polite people is so nice... don't you think????? I DON'T.

please look at him (there's all of a sudden plenty of pix). Is this the Morrissey I know for almost 20 years? I really can't tell you how bad I feel seeing him sitting at that silly desk signing stuff. He's so nervous. I'm afraid this is not a good thing, not now, not at this moment.

> WIDE TO RECEIVE...
> Ok, girl, I enjoy your style... Can we talk more???

"I could say more". don't be afraid of this senseless medium; as long as we can get the message through, the rest is forgiveness. and solitude. (by the way, do you know the antonym for solitude? I can't find any decent one - and no 'company' doesn't work; since I feel lonely even more with 'company').

C'mon, Somnium, I live in bible belt country. Everyone has an opinion, and it's better to pretend it doesn't exist.

> Either way, you really don't hear

> Does he want any help???????????????Well, I have no idea.

he's like everyone else in that sense, but he's also different because when his day sucks, there's not going to be anyone who fully appreciates it because few people live the lifestyle he does.

Many people think he's being a dork for hanging out with movie stars and rich people, but at least they don't collapse in some puddle at the sight of him.

> Send me some tips.

*sigh*

Somnium, just listen to the music. Forget the words and tell me what you hear.

But when it comes to anything wordy I'm hooked...mere speculation rather than actual theory or belief but how 'bout 'solicitous' or maybe 'gregarious'??! The decision is yours...

Try "intimacy".

That's much better than mine.

I bow to your superior knowledge!

Morrissey

Very unusual. I would never think such a stupid thing...I mean, that you would live next door Moz or something. You are just another fan, like millions in the world. Sometimes we think that we are special just because we saw our idol so near us, or because he gave us an ordinary gift, or a cold smile. It's enough to think that he is part of our "real" life, but honestly, this is ridiculous. Most of time, we are nothing to them, and some fans are able to nullify their own personalities, and they become pathetic clones. They start to see things where there is nothing to see, and secrets where there is no secret. It's so easy to mystify the guy who sings our favorite songs! Especially if you are a girl, and you have some fantasies, wich, of course, just will make you feel worst, when you realize that he is gay, and the only thing he would be able to share with you would be, hmmmm, ...maybe a tea and a funny conversation. A girl said here: "120 minutes of videos (DVD), now I'm waiting for the new album". ...This is funny!!! She has the DVD, and should enjoy it slowly. Lots of nice moments to see and remember. But she saw everything like an insane, and now demands more!!!!! WOW!!! ... Despite of all the love and adoration, Morrissey is not the owner of my life, and if he is scared of people who want a new album... Well, I will search for nice new albums of other great bands or singers. And I will not be the only one. And the ghosts will stay here, waiting for his crumbs.

> Somnium, just listen to the music. Forget the words and tell me
> what you hear.

First of all, I don't want to forget the words, ok??? Anyway, it was nice listening to Maladjusted again, and that was a good oportunity to discover that is not soooo bad. Like most of his albums, or all of his albums, this is another where he says that he is not ok with himself, but he doesn't care anyway, and all the things we are more than tired to know. Ambitious Outsiders has more true than I presumed, and Trouble Loves Me is beautiful, as Alma Matters, and He Cried. Sorrow Will Come In The End is pathetic. His reply to Mike Joyce, right? For a person like Morrissey, Maladjusted sounds so mediocre. And people say boring things like: Oh, it was Martin Boorer. Oh, no, it was Alain. Oh, it was the producer, or whoever!!! Well, Moz had a bad moment. Is it really so hard to understand? It's easy to put the blame on the wrong person. It's not a good album, even for the fans. Wide To Receive is not my favorite song, and his citations on this song are not enough to make me believe that he OFTEN reads this trash, here. People use to talk about him like lions around a fresh piece of meat. Ok, the man is surfing on the net, and I'm sure he puts his beautiful eyes on this sad discussion board, but I don't think he would maculate his hands, writting to nuts like me or... YOU.

and "Trust"? it's so bad to feel hopelessly alone in a relationship. but you made an excellent point.

Doesn't that sound a bit like....you?

but i understand. it's a bit different when you don't have a DVD player.

he might as well release spoken word albums then.

i was indeed messing with you. you don't actually think he would write such a thing, do you? no sane person would actually pick up an album and think, "hey, i don't know him personally, but i'll bet there is a song about ME on here."

Somnium, if that were the case, I would have hundreds of albums by every band I didn't know, listening to them night and day, hoping even more bands found out how cool I was and decided I needed a song in my honor.

Although, I'm disappointed in Belle and Sebastian's lack of timely response :^)

But isn't there something about it's double meaning. I read an interview in the NME right when it came out about how the song was about waiting for someone to tap in and understand. Generally, people who don't hover over the keyboard for any length of time write those sorts of things. From my personal experience, people who don't spend beaucoup de temps squinting at the screen think that those who do it out of personal need are crazy. I could be wrong. He could spend all of his time reading alt.bondage and decided that it needed a song in it's honor, but how much lonelier do you think it is when you are reading a newsgroup dedicated to yourself and you notice that most of them there have the wrong idea?

As I said, I think Morrissey loves to be the hidden chameleon, constantly spying and finding out what people are up to, and what better way than to jump on the computer and make up a silly handle? David Tseng could already pick him out of a line-up by his...aughh, i've completely forgotten the word for the number that computers leave as a fingerprint....but you know what i mean.

You said this place was a wasteland, and Morrissey might be agreeing with you.

Re: Morrissey

Not near YOU...I'm sure.

> Doesn't that sound a bit like....you?

No, sweetheart, when I get a new book or cd, or DVD, I enjoy that, and then I get another. I don't read books to show people how clever I am. This is sooooo stingy and rude.

> but i understand. it's a bit different when you don't have a DVD

Don't you????? Cause I HAVE MY DVD PLAYER. I don't have new Morrissey dvd, cause it's not available here yeat, but the labels are very NICE with south american fans, soooooo I'm gonna have my OYE ESTEBAN as soon as possible.

Didn't he do, dear? Well, What's Maladjusted? LIER....LAWYER.... Oh, God!!!

um. yes. if you're region 1.

well, so what are you complaining about the quality of his album falling entirely on his shoulders?

Dearest, I'm not afraid at all!!!!! Cause I simply write what I want, when and if I want, and if that's not good FOR ME, I simply delete that, and I don't care.

Do you really feel lonely or you are trying to be poetical?????
