Live set list you would want to see/hear

Obviously not very realistic, aside from AYNIM maybe. If he played one or two of these, I'd be pretty excited.

I really really really hope you're right, that's a phenomenal setlist.

There's plenty of other songs I'd like to hear him do other than those above but I tried to make it as realistic as possible. The Smiths' songs are hard to guage as you never know what he'll champion. I never thought in 2009 that Death At One's Elbow would get an airing. Also, songs like IBEH and AYNIM are pretty much guaranteed to be in this years list. Ditto HSIN and FOTGTD.

Anyways, I'd be happy with the above but if I could have one, magical pick it would My Dearest Love. But I don't think he'll ever do it live :(

Ok I'll play. This is a mixture of realistic with a few reaches as well. I really feel "Let the Right One Slip In" would be an amazing song to end on.

I went light on the Smiffs because I would rather hear more solo. Am I the only one?

Glamorous Glue
Billy Budd
Sweet and Tender Hooligan
First of the Gang to Die
Alma Matters
Lifeguard On Duty
Late Night, Maudlin Street

My favourite so far but would love to end on "Barbarism"

Setlist

Apologies if this has already been discussed (although I can't find it anywhere).

The 'Tour Of Refusal' had, more or less, the same setlist. Any ideas what might be on this one? Will it be a greatest hits to support the release of the new 'Best of'? Personally, I hope 'Glamorous Glue' will get a revival, it always sound amazing live.

James.

Re: Setlist

Nobody loves us, but as long as they don't destroy any classics a'la Charming man i'll be happy.

Great set list, and yeah I agree, I'm not so keen on his take/bands take on Smiths stuff. I'd be happy not to hear How Soon Is Now. There just doesn't seem to be enough care and attention to some of Morrisseys versions.
Love to hear Lazy Dykes, just once, please?

The setlist will probably look like this:

The Queen is Dead
The Boy Racer
Something Is Squeezing My Skull
How Soon Is Now?
You Have Killed Me
I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris
I Started Something I Couldn't Finish
One Day Goodbye Will Be Farewell
This Charming Man
Last Of The Famous International Playboys

Everyday Is Like Sunday
Glamorous Glue

I'm OK By Myself
First Of The Gang To Die

Re: Setlist

Girl Least Likely To has a high chance of showing up.
And hopefully some new songs too.

Seconded!!

I'd love Lifeguard on Duty, This Charming Man (an actual Johnny Marr jangle riff instead of crappy powerchords), William, It Was Really Nothing, At Amber

Yep, it was played on the otherwise dire Southpaw tour back in 95.
You can see it on the You Tube:

It's a wonderful song - I was gobsmacked when I first heard it. Especially as it was stuck on the beside of the horrible Dagenham Dave.
Poor Alain Whyte - writes a fantastic, uplifting piece of euphoric guitar pop and Moz hides it away on the bside of his second worst single. Marr would never have allowed such a decision!

It's also on the 'Practicing Troublemaker' bootleg.

I, too, would only include a couple Smiths songs. And I, too, would really like to hear All the Lazy Dykes live.

Here's my list:

Tomorrow
Irish Blood, English Heart
National Front Disco
The Boy Racer
Sunny
Alma Matters
Trouble Loves Me
Come Back to Camden
All the Lazy Dykes
I'm Not Sorry
You Have Killed Me
Picadilly Palare
Last Night I Dreamed That Somebody Loved Me
There Is a Light That Never Goes Out
Suedehead
ENCORE: Now My Heart Is Full

maybe a bit obvious, no fancy b-sides or rarities, really, but this would be my ideal setlist. think i've been lucky enough to hear a good number of these songs live already, but all in one show would be amazing . followed him around for a bit in '06 and got so sick of quarry that i couldn't listen to it for ages; maybe he'll mix it up a bit this time around.. ? [not likely, but i can dream, right?]

Don't want to hear anything from YATQ. Fantastic album but.................

Ripped the arse out of that album live. Would love stuff from Malajusted, Kill uncle and Arsenal.
