Right folks I've started it, please add to it & change it round, I've done it in the order it's been posted not the actual what should be top, I'm hoping we can come to some agreement as to what's number 1 through to 100, I've left plenty of space to add/subtract & also the major problem I see, is that I've only added mainly UK releases, so I think if this takes off we can do a UK top 100 then move on to a US etc etc top 100's. Does anyone have scans of the article/pages of the smiths top 100 rarities from karel's site that used to be up? I printed them out and don't know where the hell they went.

It had pictures along with details, etc...

If anyone has these scans or can scan the record collector mag or wherever it came from that would be so great!

Back to The Smiths rarities, unless I am going blind in my old age, I didn't see the Catalogue magazine flexi single of 'London'.

I bought 4 of these on the day it came out and still have three left, still in their original sleeve attached to the magazine unplayed. I was hoping they would have contributed to my early retirement plan.... but somehow do not feel they have vastily increased in price since....

Also what about the cassette single for 'I started something'? Must be worth a couple of quid surely?

Reel Around The Fountain is reputed to have under 30 copies pressed (dunno how true this is btw), because of the storm around at the time & the change to This Charming Man, but most others probably had a lot more pressed up, some were used as promo's, but obviously there was that little gem discovered recently http://forums.morrissey-solo.com/showthread.php?t=67704&highlight=heaven+knows+test+pressing on here.

I followed the link to the TP on sale by BlueCityBoy. Did anyone get round to making a copy of it? I know BCB, if I'd known he had it I could have copied it....bugger. Did anyone manage to get it?

With regards to Suedehead uk pro 12" I have one numbered 0480 and then I have one that was never stickered with the "morrissey and # of issue". How rare is that? It sure would be nice to a complete published list of the top 100 Morrissey Rarities.. maybe we can bombard Record Collector with emails to do such an article? Beau, I am sure you could compile the list. I didn't realize the Japanese puzzle was so rare. I know someone who bought one recently for $300. How many people have one??
And while I am on it... are we ever going to compile the signatures... a list of legit autographs from year to year showing how his signature changed... at least from 1991 forward?

you've more chance of getting a reply from kewpie than hearing from RC, well that's my experience anyhoo & I wouldn't advise holding ones breath waiting for either.

I'm prettry sure this was never manufactured even in promo cdr form. I worked at EMI when this was mooted and never saw/heard of a physical copy being produced but would love to know if I'm wrong?.
