What a thrilling night! And that’s just from seeing and hearing video, photos, reading reports. Haven’t read any extensive reviews by anyone who was there yet.

Have you been to a Morrissey gig?
At The Orpheum here in Vancouver. I think it was ’93. Most of it passed like a dream. I marvelled at how muscular his thighs were as I had expected him to be wispy. He placed his foot on an amp and his chest swelled as he looked at me while singing “Now my heart is full.” The only other thing I remember is being aghast with fear he’d make himself sick when I saw him clasp hand after hand and fully lick his palm after each clasp with another’s hand, right at the beginning. Also I remember being angry that the staff of the venue didn’t try to stop the people who stood before the stage. I was expecting everyone to be politely staying in their designated seat through the concert.

Note: The year stated turns out to be incorrect. It must have been the year 1997.

I think you might’ve caught my dementia from the other thread: he surely wasn’t singing Now my Heart is Full in ‘93? Was he?

I’m pretty sure it was around ’93. It’s the only Morrissey concert I’ve attended and he definitely sang Now My Heart Is Full.

Note. I stand corrected. It must have been 1997, as stated further down this thread.

Oh, wait a minute. I only adopted my dog in ’95, and the person who purchased the tickets was my fellow dog owner. We met through our dogs, so you’re right, I must have dementia too. Hehehe. It had to have been after 1995. I’ll do a bit of research and have a rethink. All these years I’ve been under the impression the concert had been in ’93 or so. Thank you for clueing me in Les...

Morrissey is singing well, but a cancellation accompanied by indifferentiance is cruel. It's strange but, it happens to me that I can't enjoy it as before, it was strange to hear his voice again. At least you saw it in a show and it was exciting

He wasn't even in Vancouver in 1993 that I can see , Your Arsenal was 1992 and the setlist does not contain that song which was not even out yet. There is no setlist that lists that song in Vancouver in 92.

I stand corrected further down the thread. I think it was 1997, I wrote, above, after all.

what a great setlist. wow.
even if he did that on friday night somebody would still complain.
only 14 songs, people would want their money back, that is the slowest version of shoplifters ever.
