He made a bad career choice when he stood for MP. He must have known that this kind of stuff could be used against him? Even though everybody knows a lot of em are wrong uns, there's an unspoken expectation that all MPs have squeaky clean backgrounds.

I'm not sure why his comments on this site are causing such outrage. However, his comments about Girls Aloud, McManus & Callum are UNFORGIVABLE!!!! I am TOTALLY TRAUMATISED and OUTRAGED! that an MP ever said such things in jest under a joke online persona after a couple of beers. I can think of NOTHING more important than subjecting him to a pubic witch-hunt.

I wonder who doxed him & why?

He just has to hope his porn proclivities aren't next....

He should have just LOL'd & toll them all to 'get on their knees, bitch' like that other Labour MP did the other day.

Guido Fawkes seems to have a very strong personal agenda about this guy, who beat ex deputy PM in sheffield hallam this year. It doesn’t surprise me that this right leaning political gossip blog is dredging these comments up. They’ve previously had him over lyrics he sang in a metal band previously. I think they consider him a bit of a political upstart and novice compared to the Tory steadfast they seem to prefer. I think they also ran with an expose of someone he went on a date with who he threw a torrent of abuse at because she seemed to reject him.

I agree to a point, but O’Mara is now a public figure and thinks nothing of pontificating on the behaviour of others.

I think it indicates just how poor the selection process of all our political parties has become. Perhaps if their candidate selection was as vigourous as the average medium sized business the country would be in better shape.

I think O’Mara should probably lie low for a week or two and then reinvent himself by starting to wear sparkly coloured stetsons.
