La Sera dressed as Morrissey and Marr, Halloween 2012

Vu / We Heart Music writes:

I went to see La Sera (Vivian Girls' Katy Goodman's solo project),
opening up for the sold out Father John Misty show at the Fine Line
Café in Minneapolis on Halloween, October 31st.

La Sera's two guitarists were dressed as Morrissey and Johnny Marr for
Halloween. "Morrissey" was in a Shoplifters (Elvis) T-Shirt and
attempted terrible Morrissey impressions.

What's even funnier is the band did the Elvis song "(Marie's the Name)
His Latest Flame" medley with their song, "Never Come Around."

When I asked "Marr" why they did that cover (in the Smiths style), he
said it was because the band's been obsessed with the Smiths' Rank
live album (they've been listening to it in their van when they drive
from city to city.)

Anyway, I really like La Sera, I hope Morrissey fans will check them
out when they 'come around'. They play three minute pop songs, but
their first album is pure dreampop.
