Morrissey's Kiss Me A Lot will be newly available on iTunes from the evening of March 26th onwards.
Morrissey has commented:

"I humbly ask for all and any support with this download release, which, has always been waiting in the wings if not for unpleasant circumstances familiar enough not to be repeated here. Thank you to Atom Factory for making this happen, and here's to sound reason, good times, and music that matters."

TTY POST DELETED - Morrissey Electra Deal
I don't have any proof, I did not screenshot it in time.

It was only a few lines.

It said something on the lines of: Morrissey has signed a deal with Electra Records.
It had a few extra things but I cannot recall.

I went on the site and saw the news rushed on here, no news. Went to TTY to copy it and it was gone!

"Kiss me" is the song everybody hails as the great come back single. Really? I mean, really? It's painting by numbers. Boring and bland. I always mistake it for the tiresome "You have killed me." Same formula, same outcome.

Let's hoping there will be some decent artwork this time.

the bass player , is it solomon? could be in ACDC, the way he moves, saw it before, it like he's in an heavy metal band, Gary was easy going, only with
the big one, standing bass, he was great...

' and they say he's mentall'...the first lost Lads..

It's repetitive, lyrically one of his weakest efforts ever, (use the word effort as loosely as possible). The hardest part about writing that song was getting something to rhyme with "Face".... Oh wait, "Place" and were done, next song please. It wouldn't even have been an achievement if a ten year old girl wrote it in her bedroom.
Have Morrissey fans gone deaf, is this sort of music just accepted now? Have we forget what has gone before and how high the bar was set, once a great lyricist, in my humble opinion the best of all time, churning out shit like this does effect his legacy.

Re: Kiss Me A Lot on iTunes Friday

I don't think so. He said more than twice that he's not the Do It Yourself type. But, if he has a deal I think he would post it at the TTY...

Yes you would expect any announcement to be made on TTY but TTY is a lazy site. For example, TTY posted a blurry image for its 'Morrissey in Bournemouth' story and couldn't even be bothered to replace it with the proper clear image when it become available shortly thereafter. It is a joke of a site.
I suspect that Julia is too busy trotting around after Moz to be bothered updating the site, and the updates only seem to come when Moz prompts/orders her.

Hopefully there is a deal imminent. If his new album is as good as World Peace then I will be a very happy chappy.

At least the bass player doesn't look disgusted to be on stage. The drummer looked well pissed off, at least at the Dublin concert. If I was Moz and I saw that growling puss staring back at me I'd kick it off the stage and bring back Deano. I could never understand the comments in Mozipedia about Dean Butterworth lacking aggression. I thought he was a great drummer and did a sterling job on Quarry album and tour.

Matt Walker is a great drummer. You have to take people as they are and Matt always looks like that. It's obviously his natural expression (at least when he is being watched). It has nothing to do with disgust or any particular show. And Moz doesn't seem to mind judged by the amount of time he spents at the drums.

Re: Kiss Me A Lot on iTunes Friday

In regards to Matt Walker. Moz speaks very highly of him in his autobiography.
Matt is very skilled and after speaking to him for a few minutes after a Moz gig he is a very nice person.

Re: Kiss Me A Lot on iTunes Friday

hahha yeah the same Matt Walker who took time off the world of Moz and came back on the tour and stuck with the group after his brother's mysterious leaving must f***ing hate being on stage with Morrissey.

you people.

People must lead a pretty perfect life without any distractions whatsoever to constantly point their finger at Moz. Why is this? Because you had never arguments with people in your entire life? (I had) Because you had never relationships or friendships who ended badly? (I had) Because there are no people who spoke or speak bad ab out you? (Well, you can guess what). Sometimes I think it got to the point where people deliberately search for the slightest hint of a possible disagreements. They want their portion of drama so that they can say again "Here we go again, another fallout. He hates people and is a c***."

Re: Kiss Me A Lot on iTunes Friday

Unlike all you moaning f***ers I say Kiss Me a Lot is a great pop song and would make a great single. I don't get the digital download thing, just give us a 7".

How does everyone think this is going to do in the charts?

I'm going to download it 10 times to make sure it does well.
Will anyone join me?

He's always got our support here. We'll be there for "Kiss Me A Lot" and Moz for sure. He didn't even have to ask.

"Please download my single, even though you all bought it at least 3 times last summer, and even though I can't be arsed to show up for a television appearance to sing it."

Really? I actually really love both Kiss Me A Lot and You Have Killed Me! They do seem quite similar, though - I'll give you that.

Kiss is one of my favs on WP. In a time when porn dominates the male mind, i find a song about someone (let's say a man) wanting to be kissed and nothing else, very refreshing. Oh yes, and now please tell me that "kiss" in homosexual slang means to suck someone off or whatever. anyway, i was on holiday and in love in berlin once for a couple of days, and the song captures my feelings of being in a rush and also in love at the same time very nicely.

This is the cutest comment and you have made me happy.
