So true. Time is a h
eartless bitch, but it is the only thing keeping us alive. Such a double edged sword. How beautiful he was back in the day, and he is still a handsome devil, but "the passing of time and all of its sickening crimes is making me sad again." How sad and depressing and remorseful and remarkable it is to be who we are today.

Photos of the past are all of this. Reminding us of who we were then and how much we have grown. This photo acts as a touch stone as to what drew us to him in the first place. What a charm in his eyes like he knows something we don't, and he did. He brought something to us that we knew we needed but never thought would ever receive. I for one am still lying here:

WtF? First you say growing old is not good, that its a 'sickening crime' then you say that its a charm in the
:eyes:!! WTF!!
Your quaint pithy commentary makes me think that you can possibly be Bugs Bunny:rabbitface::laughing:

CBA to make a thread - here's another from Cummins:

There's just something about his back...:blushing:
I always find it interesting, looking at the shape of him in these earlier times. He's quite broad-shouldered - even in the Smiths days, you can see it. Alan Bennett said he now looks like he could be digging up the road, if he wasn't famous. I think he was always destined to become the stocky, barrel-chested figure he's become - it's all there in the genes.

Why the dislike, count? It wasn't meant as an insult. I'm not saying he's fat, just a solid Irish frame. My point was I think this was visible even when he was skinny, when you look at his hips/shoulders.

he has pretty, slim little hips though? his neck, though lovely and long when on the thinner side has always been a bit thick. it's quite noticeable in the video taken when he was on the johnny carson show. I think he's comprised of a nice dichotomy of fragile and robust. it's wholly possible to be both and not just one or the other, and i think the most beautiful people in the world usually do exhibit both qualities (like irina dvorovenko with her huge sturdy head and delicate little birdbones).

Thanks for the intelligent response, Rifke. Apparently we are not allowed to discuss Morrissey's skeleton. Are his hips especially slim? I just meant I could see the broadness in his frame, even when skinny. For what it's worth, he is my kinda shape in a man :yum: Who is Irina Dvorovenko? And why do I need to visit Greece??

well I dunno, I always had the impression of his hips being slim, but maybe not. I mean, they're not david bowie slim. in the shoplifters of the world unite video they look pretty slim. it's amazing how much a little extra weight--especially when evenly spread out--can make a persons proportions look completely different. and I'm not saying morrisseys fat, I think he looks fabulous now as he did in his youth. but even just a tiny bit of extra padding on the shoulders or clavicle can make the neck look shorter than it is, and that can really change the look of a frame, by making the torso look longer, the legs in comparison look shorter, which makes a person seem shorter in their entirety. I speak from experience as someone who gains weight evenly.

haha you don't need to visit Greece! that was my first attempt at copying and pasting the johnny carson youtube video. I apparently hadn't noticed that it didn't work and that I had pasted instead the last thing I had copied (when I was talking to herb anus about Greece (and him being beastly jealous about not being able to go there like his fellow hard working swedes)). glad it wasn't something dirty, that would've been so embarrassing.

and irina dvorovenko is a sehr schon Ukrainian ballerina whose head, the size of which, has always amazed me. maybe it helps her balance? her neck also puzzles me by looking at times quite short (much too short for a ballerina, I would've thought), and then at other times quite long. I don't understand how that works.

Thank God, I was so confused. And yes, good job it was only a travelogue, probably best to keep your bunny porn to yourself :lbf:

Yes, and they are quite hard to ignore in Shoplifters, what with all that gyrating. I suppose I'm thinking of the Kill Uncle era onwards, and he had probably filled out a bit by then anyway. But what the hell, it's a good excuse for some nice pictures.

Yes, Irina certainly does have an odd-shaped head. But I envy people with grace and fluidity, I've been one of those awkward flailing types all my life. If you're graceful you are instantly more beautiful by about 50%, no matter what you look like.

i still think his hips are narrow, it's just that his thighs are thicker (muscle-y!). here you can see the difference:

poor Morrissey, I hope hes not hearing us dissecting his body parts. either way, he's a wonderfully put together specimen. (love you moz!)

so did you decide where you want to go in Greece?!

You're right, I've been distracted by his thighs all along. The shoulders, though - I'm sticking to my guns about the shoulders, as seen here when at his skinniest and even then giving the tiniest glimmer of beefiness to come:

Also, I think this is the first instance of The Shirt Toss, captured on camera.
Greece? Noooo! It's quite hot enough here right now, but it did make me look up Elounda in Crete where I spent a holiday when I was 17, when the sea front was just a couple of cafes and a concrete jetty. Now of course it is unrecognisable. What about you? Are you going to escape to join 12" and his bougainvilleas?

yes, you're right about the shoulders, but on the other hand I don't think they're particularly broad, nor do I think broad shoulders are necessarily a sign of beefiness. they're just a sign of being gorgeously built is all. the two most beautiful boys I have ever known in my life (both Austrian) were both tiny wisps of things with astoundingly broad shoulders, like they were wearing shoulder pads. the contrast creates an amazing silhouette.

oh yes, I just found out I have a trio of icky young boys moving into my house tomorrow, so I am more than ready to make my escape! I'm going to Greece and im going to eat baklava and drink cappuccinos with 12" all day long, long past the time for drinking cappuccinos has expired, and that's that. and of course admire the beauteous bougainvilleas!

How divine! I hope it's wonderful. Do please send us all an e-postcard, we will need to know the important things like the quality of the baklava, the pinkness (or otherwise) of bougainvilleas, and whether they are shooting Mama Mia 3 yet.
