Johnny plays The Smiths and Bowie for BBC acoustic guitar documentary (Spring)

A mysterious Tweet from Johnny Marr last night - "Am giving back to the acoustic guitar for a BBC show at the very cool Blueprint Studios Manchester. Playing Unhappy Birthday and Queen Bitch"

followed by...

"A documentary about acoustic guitar transmitted in Spring."

Would be nice if he's playing the queen is dead. I believe queen bitch is a Bowie song.

What has happened to all the older news stories? Have they been lost in the redesign of Morrissey solo?

Everything should still be there. Click the 'article archive' sublink from the main page to see older stories.

The programme is called "Killing Me Softly", and Johnny also plays William It Was Really Nothing...

Suppose we can only hope the BBC release the full "recordings" on iPlayer or something. Got a feeling this will be one of those things where they use a 10 second clip of Johnny to signify "the eighties."
