Ryan Adams would be interesting to me and he’s clearly a fan. I don’t or wouldn’t necessarily wanna see him do something obvious like Depeche Mode or new order etc. of Montreal would also be cool as I think he could fit Into the music and it’d be neat to see him do something more abstract with the electronics and guitar. Johnny Marr doing a bright surreal album would peak my interest and he’s a great lyricist

Now for the hard part: Johnny Marr has recorded nothing of note since The Smiths split. Morrissey however, is still at the top of his game. There is no lyricist alive today that you could compare him to. Don't believe me? Go and listen to World Peace is None of Your Business, and Low in High School.

Those are pretty mild considering the years of emotional trauma and general diva crap that Morrissey subjected Johnny to in the Smiths.

Dealing with a drunk coked up guitar player and songwriting partner is no picnic either. Sure morrissey can be difficult as everyone knows, or at least reads about, but marr wasn’t some passive unegotistical man just holding it all together

Why taking part 30 years later in a ceremony sponsored by Boss and that kind of magazine which is all about trademark, wearing the right expensive clothes.

Johnny's always been a dedicated fashionista. Read his book. Right from the start, even before the Smiths, the clothes were nearly as important to him as the music. It was only Moz who wore second hand clothes, and even then that was just so he could achieve his 'Dame Edith Sitwell goes clubbing' look on a budget. These days, he's a walking advert for designer wear.
