So nothing more than the original tweet provided by these links really?

So none of these publications have thought about contacting Live Nation to verify where this comes from? Lazy journalists.

:handpointright::guardsman::handpointleft: is not part of the Smiths he was removed by Moz, I dont know why the megalomaniac twat would think he would be part of any reunion. :drama:

He may have been taken on by Moz as a salaried player but he has regressed in his little dumb:guitar:
:lbf:

As I said earlier....

Marr’s twit was obviously an unnecessary low dig at Morrissey, but we should take into account the reason also for Marr not wanting a reunion may be because of Joyce. Let’s remember he sued both Marr and Morrissey.

I don’t remember what or if Marr said much about Joyce in his book in regards to this his feelings about him, or enough to glean how he really feels about him.

But Marr’s twit is refreshing, considering that he usually plays the ‘nice-guy’ cool card in regards to his public statements. Get it all out Johnny, it’s the healthy thing to do. :thumb:

Though as low as his jibe was, we can be sure it’s just a triggered reaction against being asked yet again about a reunion.

I love Johnny Marr so much.

I don't. The hair. The always saying the most popular thing with his 'tribe' in public, but slightly more dodgy things in private. Not keen.

(Used to date a music journalist, I wasn't that interested, so I don't have great insider stories, but I was drifting around.)

I feel I was a bit harsh here... but, still...

Perhaps he was just saying Nigel on guitar as a replacement for Craig Gannon.

Don't worry though... if it does happen (it won't), they (Morrissey) will cancel the one date you have tickets to.

Erm, what was "low" about Johnny's comment. Have you no f***ing sense of humour. Clearly not. And ... as Morrissey is such a fan of Farage what are you suggesting.

Totally agree, I like him for what he gave us with The Smiths, always going to be grateful for that, but the "Safe" Johnny is my biggest gripe.
It was something I picked up on in his book too, hence my conclusion it was weak, thin, & safe, not a smattering a controversy, and didn't give me as much detail as I wanted, or expected either. Some nuggets but not many.

He doesn't actually say anything meaningful, or anything at all really, just plays it safe all the time, but, annoyingly, always with a smattering of expletives, trying to be 'down with the kids' & 'current' so effs his way around conversations/interviews/gigs.

He's no different though to the vast majority of people, be they the man in the street, or your Westminster MP; say one thing in public, say something totally contrary in private...with the latter being closer to the truth.

Honesty & truth are never really appreciated though, are they? They're too much for some people.

I think whoever sourced the 'breaking news' must be having a right laugh at all of us on here...how many pages of comments so far on this & the other thread? LMAO, we all got sucked in to some extent.

To be pedantic, Morrissey clarified he didn't vote UKIP & wasn't a fan of Farage. He just made some rambling ambiguous comment about him being a good PM, if any of us could remember what one was....

You're right, & to the best of my knowledge he's never voted for anyone...& also right re; the Farage quote...but why let the truth get in the way of a good headline?

Wonder how many fans have been emailing Live Nation? Wouldn't surprise me if their server's gone down.

Yep. It's very calculated & on-message, which I would approve of, if Morrissey wasn't throwing himself into the flames of public hatred, while everyone banged on about what a nice bloke Marr was. He can be quite nasty & a bit right-wing on issues, but he's good at friendships & smoothing things over & reading the room.

Fair point, but their differences were probably why they worked so well, opposites attract and all that. If they had been the same then the chemistry would have been...well non-existent = no smiths.

At times, when a tweet is suddenly removed, it could reveal that the “reveal “ just wasn’t meant to be revealed yet. This could be the case with Los Angeles disc jockey Richard Blade mentioning the Smiths reunion first reported on this site before quickly deleting it. Was he forced to drop the reunion mention by management or the promoters? If Morrissey-Marr are never to reunite, why not keep the post up to prove this is all just “fantasy” for Smiths fans all over the world? Plus, I think the silence from Morrissey, his management, and the powerful “Live Nation” speaks volumes.
