Friday 4th July Modest Mouse play Rothbury Music Festival, Double JJ Ranch, Rothbury Michigan


This sounds like a fun location, this is the Festival organisers description:

"The Double JJ Ranch welcomed its first guests in 1937, The cool breeze off Lake Michigan keeps it perfect for an outdoor camping festival, The Ranch offers The Silver Dollar Saloon, Wagon Wheel Dance Hall, and Big Wildcat Lake and beach front Log Homes, Log Cabins, Bunkhouses, access to swimming pools, a cowboy town with a general store, bars, restaurants."

Hoedown. Or maybe a hootenanny. But this place is pretty damn far north to be as countrified as it pretends to be. I've never heard the term "ranch" used for a farm northeast of a line from, say, Oklahoma to Montana.
