Without MSG I Am Nothing

Word leaked out from very high up in Morrisseys camp that this gig wasn't happening. This started a day after the Virgin Radio announcement.

and he contacted Janice Long and she announced it wasn't happening...but you still didn't believe us when we tried to tell you.

The fact is there isn't a single hardcore Morrissey fan in the country who didn't know this was coming weeks ago.

So bollocks to the lot of you.

You Know your right......

Somehow I felt that it wasn't gonna happen right from the start. I think that's why I never bought any tickets... Gut instinct paid off for me... Alas not for many others though who have dished out a shit load of dosh for the pleasure of a cancelled gig!

That's all well and good, but "a day after" the announcement is about as much use as two weeks before.

The majority of people bought their tickets immediately after the announcement, which was highly advertised by Sanctuary.

I STILL don't know why the announcement was ever allowed to be made, if nothing had been confirmed. Obviously this has nothing to do with Virgin, therefore it's the bloodsucking record company again.

I hope they go out of business.

Even if there is a possibility of returning tickets, under the Sale of Goods Act, the vast expense will have been in airline tickets. As you know these are non-refundable and you can't even sell them on ebay.

I am an a American; and even I had doubts about Morrissey really showing for this. Fact: Morrissey does not take shit from ANYONE least of all evil money grubbing Sanctuary who are after every pound, dollar, franc, whatever that he helps put in their till. It was too precarious, just knew he wasn't gonna do it.

Well bully for you.

Some "honest" folk think along the lines of:

A record company representing an artist, decides to make a big deal of a statement being made on a radio station the following morning.

Virgin Radio 9am IMPORTANT NEWS.

Oh and did they play it out.
Keep listening blah blah we've got important news about the IOW line-up, or words to that effect.

Anyway.

The proles bought into this twisted game of the capitalists and, actually, decided to buy tickets.

They were even stupid enough to plan their travel arrangements.

YOU SEE.

WE LIVE IN A DIFFERENT WORLD, SADLY.

THATS WHY GOD THINKS WHAT HE DOES OF THE RICH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Isle of Wight Festival web site is still announcing the fabulous night of Morrissey and Roxy Music. This false advertising of such an event still gives hope to those who view yjrtr is that Morrissey will still be performing.
