Yeah, the way that voice EXACTLY mirrors Morrissey's timing and phrasing, especially towards the end, makes me feel that they've got some kind of live pitch-shift effect setup on the vocals, and either Morrissey or Marr (if it's a pedal on stage), or the soundboard guy if it's set up there, is turning it on and off at those points. I guess they tried it out, and didn't stick with it as it was too much hassle? Interesting to hear though - good catch!
